Happy Sunday Morning, my beautiful Patrons!

It's time for this month's first 2-star HOMOCLIX FIGURE and this time, I'm taking you back to the 1960s with the mighty MIGHTOR!

He was suggested by one of you lovely Patrons-o-mine, and I certainly had a blast drawing him. (My apologies, Guys, -- I seem to have lost track of WHO among you suggested him! Raise your hand, please -- and thank you for the wonderful suggestion!)

MIGHTOR is a HANNA-BARBERA creation, and he was first introduced as part of the Moby Dick and Mighty Mightor show, which debuted on CBS on September 9, 1967.

Despite Moby's name coming first, he had only one short per half-hour episode, sandwiched between two with Mightor. I guess Hanna-Barbera knew who the real star of the show was! LOL!

What's interesting about this character (which was before my time, and despite seeing a few reruns as a kid in the 80s here and there, I knew virtually nothing about him) is that his backstory is super similar to that of HE-MAN.

When you start looking into it, you can't help but wonder if MIGHTOR could have inspired cartoon heroes that came after him, such as HE-MAN, BLACKSTAR, and the list goes on and on!

Anyhow, if you're curious about the MIGHTOR cartoons, check 'em out here on YOUTUBE!

Meanwhile, MIGHTOR's colors are up next, so STICK AROUND!
