Motor block cover - update for wheels setup (ender3/pro/3v2/3maxneo) (Patreon)

Will likely work on many non ender3 printer as well, as most bed slinger share that X axis setup.

The linear rail required an updated block to relocate the endstop but the wheels setup didn't, so had not made one.

But then you'd be missing on a few goodies. you can now use accessories that mounts to the left side of the block like this: (they are in the Apollo zip file, but will include them here)

I don't remember if the stock motor block allow for a Motor upgrade, but this should (stock motor has a short step, and most motors have a 24mm stem)


Things like cable holder, revers bowden. you can maybe even make a Z chain, but not sure yet (no included here)

The shape is slightly different so might not be a 1 to 1 match, but should physically work. (I'll tweak them eventually)

Plus has extra mounting point for anything you can think of. holes are 20mm apart

Important notes:

-reuse the stock motor mounting screws (long countersunk ones)

- This allows slightly more movement to the left than stock, there are 3 position for the endstop (reuse the stock self tapping screws) - once you secure the endstop it will likely crush the neighboring holes. so make sure your endstop is where you want it to be.

- some of the older bltouch/crtouch mount will hit the block before the endstop is triggered, I included a couple tweaked ones here, but if you need any other let me know. (I'll eventually go through the different probe mounts and make them all compatible with this)
