For anyone not on discord this has been a concept made by SiFire, which was inspired by the klack ender by kevinakasam. I then redesigned some parts and improved some others, so no print support needed.

The wheel model is not yet tested, feel free to test and report. But would likely work
you need to reach about X 248~249mm, you might need to tweak your [stepper_x] in klipper (just make sure you can physically reach it)
Worse case, you would only need a tweaked dock piece, catcher and duct are good and won't need reprints.

Rail model works great, but you do need to reach at least X 252, if you can't you'll need to change the X tensioner that allows that (in the master repo page the "PRINTER MODS - by Squirrelf" has one that I made that will allow about 255~260mm move on X)

STEP file included

There are 4 version, to try and get Y probe offset to be 0

  • wheels for top/groove mounted hotend, like V6 Dragon, Rapido, etc
  • wheels for back mounted hotend, like stock and dragonfly BMS
  • rails for top mounted hotend
  • rails for back mounted hotend

    some hotend won't be perfectly aligned and will have a small Y offset

    X offset is only 29mm
  • six magnets 6x3 (Amazon )
  • two  M5x8 and two T-nuts (if you did the belt mod by kevinakasam, you likely have some spare ones)
  • m3x20, likely work with m3x25 for the dock

omron switch D2F-5 ( digikey )

Also makes sure to match the magnets polarities

- probe alternative, small improvements (allows installing the switch after the magnets, and has better bridging)
- tweak to config (30mm X move to the left after docking, instead of 20mm)

Hey. I'm now in process of printing apollolander. Already printed main body and backplate is on the way. I'm curious what ducts should I use for e3d v6 + volcano? Looks like the one from the core files for UHF (which as per notes is used for volcano) is taller
