May 31:

small update (no need to reprint if you did) - backplate_1of2.stl had mesh errors which usually the slicer can fix without issues, but fixed it anyway, and updated the step file as well

thanks to GentSimps for finding a temporary possible X endstop mount.
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4162870
I will make my own with cable chain mount, but this works for now
-----

Only tested on my machine, so only if adventurous.

Should be printed in something better than PLA.

I'm doing mine in PETG, but if you can use better do it.

Right side movement on X is reduced by 7mm ( doesn't reduce the print area ) so make sure to update your config, and the x endstop position might change things so just be aware ( I forgot and had a big crash, but at least proved that the Saturn and this backplate are solid )

This isn't finished (will update post as I have more) as it needs an X endstop, but if you can MacGyver something before I release the "official" setup feel free to use, as it works great so far

This has accessories mounting holes in the back meant for heat inserts, will be used to mount a chain setup. but the plate itself is possibly done

accessories holes are 15mm apart, so technically you can mount an adxl345 there

I'm including the STEP file so you can play with it to mod to your own needs

This will use the ender3 mounting hole pattern, so the heat inserts for the ender3v2 backplate should be removed.

optional_belt_securing_setup.stl is if you use a belt without crushed ferrules

otherwise not needed and will work with stock belt and ferrules

Use 4 heat inserts to combine the two pieces together, and M3x8 or m3x12 ( preferably 12mm ) . It's in two pieces for a couple reason, one for print orientation strength, and second so that the belt securing part can be upgraded without reprinting the bigger backplate piece.

M3x10 to mount the saturn backplate to the rail backplate  when using rigid mounted hotend (like dragon/rapido/v6 )
M3x8 might work, but the bite into the heat insert is a bit shallow.
For other hotend not sure what is best yet.

the right side might not be totally flush, but it stays sturdy so won't affect anything print wise, on the saturn rebuilt I'll have a more mounting point to be better mounted and will become a better integrated combo.

Anyway keep in mind this is still an early but working prototype.
