If you want to test another hotend with your ender6 let me know.

Right duct confirmed working! Thanks to Merkaba for all the testing!!!
Body is good too

updates

APR 25:

  • Dragon version added (ST and HF)
  • Updated ducts, just a small tweak that should help with heat deformations
  • added a potential chain mount attachment for commercial ones (you would have to figure out the rest of the other chain attachment), with an orbiter extruder there isn't much space on the front so this is meant to go behind the metal plate if that's possible
I don't have a 3D model of the ender6 so its' hard to tell if it would work or not
    chain_mount_back_untested.stl

APR 6:

- fixed right duct -  right_duct.stl

- reverted main body, since nothing was actually in the way (if you printed the version from APR 5 it's totally fine, had just trimmed a bit that didn't need trimming after all)

APR 5:

- Added Rapido hotend support

- trimmed the right side affecting main body and right duct, so those files have been updated here

This might not work at all, as I don't have a model of the ender6, only had access to an unofficial backplate, so print with the cheapest filament you have, PLA is fine. From there we can figure out all the issues, and make a working model.

Once we know it works you can print with the filament you want to. Being semi enclosed, it's probably best to print the final version in PETG or better.

bltouch is the thinner ender5 version for now as it allow more space for the belts.

If you have another hotend, let me know. as this is DragonFLY BMS only.

the small cable cover is the same as the ender3 setup, but the large roof is modified based on guess work.

Front cut backplate just makes it easier to slide the ptfe tube when in bowden setup without removing the tube from the hotend. Otherwise pick either.

Basically here is what I did:

- added spacing to accommodated the Belts

- Moved the hotend forward by 2mm, so that the orbiter 2.0 would fit

- Changed the mounting hole position of the backplate, there are two (M3x6) + the hotend (use minimum M3x40 but preferably M3x45)

- added space for the Rail wheel screw head

- no mounting point for the main body except into the backplate.

- changed things around the x endstop , still in stock location, hopefully wire from it will still fit, I know it's going to be tight.

With direct drive setup, you will not have access to that cable management piece at the top of the backplate, But maybe we can screw something to the back to help with cable management.
