Do you have friends who are super clever? a top tier of the class? or have some skills that others don't?

.

I've studied and gathered some hypotheses about them...by witnessing them, studying them, stalking them to record what they did and why they're clever so fast, here's what I found...

(It's only my Hypothesis....No papers or any scientific confirmation....yet. Maybe I have to run the research again myself.)

.

These are what they have in common.

.

1. Devoured in passion :

Is it obvious? Yes and No. Many said you must have passion when doing something....but how it actually works....Here's the thing...

When you have passion in something....no matter what you do, you'll always return your thoughts to it. And most of the time, it's about every 2-4 hours long.....WHICH IS accidentally at the best "repetition time" for the brain. That means, they accidentally have more "Repetition" on the subject much more often than others ,at the best condition after the brain is rested and at the best time to regain memory, without noticing it.

.

2. Uninterrupted time :

In this case, I assume it should be around 2 hours at least, uninterrupted from anything. No phone call, No social media, No tasks or duty call, and no one to talk to, just alone. During that time, they have time to deep dive into their thoughts or the task they're in. If something interrupts them, they lose the pace to continue effectively.

.

3. No Multitasking/ No Duty :

Most of the time, people do multitasking without knowing....walking, speaking, cleaning, etc. these tasks distract you from what you're doing. You can still think about what you want to learn, solve something, but it's not at 100% potential. and every time the task is switched, the brain needs some cooldown time and has to repeat some process again and again....which means your thoughts will go in a small loop. And it brings you nowhere.

.

4. Be in a stage of Boring and Struggle:

These two are the key to unlocking human potential....but it's very painful to encounter them (even me). Here's why,

Boring on stage brings you the condition "you have to do something". and most of the time, it comes to us within less than 15 mins...which will distract you from the task you're doing...

and what if I said, when you want to learn something, you need to stay on it at least 20 mins to get into a deep flow, BUT you can't because you are so bored and need to break every 10 mins? That means, you will never be able to reach the flow stage.

And struggle, struggle is the stage that unlock other human potential...a hypothesis making skill. You can't solve something, and the best thing is you try to make up the answer for what you don't know...it's a hypothesis....and after that, you check it, try to prove it, solve it or do whatever it takes to get the answer...

You're not clever when you get the answer, you're already clever the moment you seek the answer. So if you're not struggling, you don't need to take some time to find the answer yourself, then you'll never meet the time that makes you smarter.

.

5. Stable emotion :

This is very obvious. if you're mad, angry, hungry, sad or unstable, your mind can't focus...So don't care about getting smarter for now. go for a walk, play games, shop or do anything to get rid of these feelings fast. And then back to focus on learning. We're human after all, we can't fight an emotion effectively.

.

.

These are 5 things I think it's necessary for being a genius...or being smarter in the field you want. It may sound easy, but in real life, it's very hard to meet all these 5 requirements at the same time.

.

and how to do it? I don't have a solution for everyone. but for me I'll start with...

.

finding a free uninterrupted time, 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the evening. study on the same topic....and no distraction, no social media, no driving. the time may vary, but I would ask for not shorter than half an hour.

.

If I find something in the future, I'll let you know. Wish me luck.
