I completely agree with you. I also thought it was rlly weird the way he worded “there’s someone I want to take w me” referring to mudeok. I understand she’s a maid but, it seemed weird the way he said that as if she was an object ? idk how to explain it but, nah bro yul overstepped here fr.

I agree, on this one Yul was greedy. But I would be the one playing devil’s advocate, I think behind that, from his point of view, he wants to prevent her from losing control. Of course, He knows that she is not in love with him but he also knows that if she stays with Uk, she will eventually turn into a monster by wanting to help him.

Okay so my perspective of the whole yul situation is that hes trying to take her with him in order to protect her. If you think about it the longer she spends with jang uk and the more she helps him shes gonna eventually get found out and that could risk her life. Thats how yul sees it too and he also doesnt have faith in the fact that they'll be able to obtain the ice stone and use it bc the leader of songrim is so adamant to destroy it, therefore hes just not confident that if anything does go wrong with mudeok, they'll be able to save her. On the other hand, in terms of mudeok putting herself on the line, she did that as an extreme level of motivation for jang uk in order to ensure he knows he has to win at all costs. She didnt know that the duel was gonna be with yul it was initially supposed to be with the dude that stepped back but you see on her face shes shocked when yul steps up. In my honest opinion, i dont exactly feel anyone is in the wrong here its all just out of the desire to help and protect one another.
