I just remember there being 5 main U.S. Miltary Branches 1- Army 2- Air Force 3- Navy 4- Marine Corps 5- Coast Guard But good point. Technically yes they could be the same if other countries use the names interchangeably or synonymously for their military. They do work together for U.S. military but they’re distinguished as different branches. And Marines fight 1st on shore before Navy jump in to fight.
