What I think you're forgetting is that "God" created Gu-won. So even if Gu-won won't exist, another one will be replacing him. As "God" says, she needed a worker in hell so that theory you said that he's selfish isn't really appropriate since the devil will exist no matter what and it might not be Gu-won. Also, not all the clocks and their time transfers to him 1:1, remember he's only the devil for 200 years so if you're theory is correct, then he only had 20 people that he led to hell. Also, the time laps between when the fist symptom of spontaneous combustion happened when his tattoo transferred to Do-hee and the 2nd time when he bought her flowers was just a little over a month (after thr fullmoon which appears every 29.5 days as they said in the drama) so he needed to make contracts possibly every 2 months in order not to spontaneously combust. One other point, the kid you were referring to that he saved in the hospital is not Do Do-hee, remember Do-hee is there with him when he made the contract so that's not possible at all. You keep piecing together incorrect puzzle pieces so you end up with wrong conclusions LOL. It would ve interesting if you rewatch it again with a friend but keep an open mind and don't stick to what you think you know so you'll get the details you missed before.
