lol this was such a good episode xx for me it's weird, because I feel like people around me get it/are more similar minded now than things I see online. like I can have a fairly calm/honest conversation about why China isn't the most evil country and debunk some of the common BBC news slander with my friends/extended family when it's in person - with them being very receptive. my wee scottish mum even sent me a mao meme about him already freeing tibet and I was like howww did she find this hahaha 😂 however, online I feel like people just shut down very easily at having their viewpoint challenged. maybe saving face as tweets/messages online are more broadcasted to the world/more permanent, or just that being online seems to promote the idea you should never be wrong. in person, it's so much easier. for China arguments for example, I don't know if it's a mix of them knowing I lived there for a year before, and also maybe my approach to seem more chill lol. or maybe, there's a way I've managed to adapt it to each person so they might be more receptive to seeing the other side, but it seems to have worked really well the past 2 years. I guess it's hard to find a "leftist" in the UK that's in their 20s-30s, who genuinely believes in parliamentary democracy in capitalism (compared to 10 years ago). I don't bring it up unless there is a conversation where it seems like I can get them to understand my viewpoint. or maybe it's easier when you pick and choose your battles, realising there are some people there's little point in wasting energy in for little outcome.

And this is how we know Matt is telling the truth. Because he completely left out Illinois and gave Illinois’s Balkans country to Wisconsin. Because as a Wisconsinite, he must slight the great state of Illinois and falsely prop up North Macedonian ass Wisconsin.
