I wonder if you're interested enough to view the recording sessions and see the process for this one. I think changbin was responsible for leave and he mentioned it has an old kpop feel as for how they chose to deliver the lines. They've had sad love songs/breakup songs with similar vibes lyric wise but I think it didn't feel "skz" to you because they went softer even with the rap parts which they don't usually do

Leave is similar vibes as the song skz changbin wrote called "Sorry, I Love You" and Unit/solo songs like "Gone Away" by Han/Seungmin/Jeongin.. "Deep End" by Felix/Yongbok/BokkAri... There are bits and pieces of this album I love but I can't say I like a whole song off this album. Changbin is a problem though, I loved him on every song

For me i absolutely loved the album it’s a 10/10 but ngl i wish they added one or two more songs specially more hype wise bc we only got L4 , MEGAVERSE & Comflex as hype songs i needed more of that genres so badly😭 also tbh first time i listened to Comflex i didn’t like it much but second listen i absolutely adored it and also Blind Spot i didn’t love it that much bc of the repetitive ending but more i listened it grew on me and the ending part was really smart to do honestly it fit well! I feel this album is half energetic and half calm which is a big first for skz they never done that before having an album with so many slower songs specifically more vocals based they definitely wanted to show off their singing skills as they should 🤭 okay so my top 3 is definitely MEGAVERSE (they wrote this song for me istg) , LALALALA (original version but i absolutely love the rock version too its so fire!!) and for the third gosh idk either Comflex or Cover Me !
