omg i’m so happy you got to ep 11 finally!! when i first watched hxh, as soon as i got to that scene with kil and the mass murderer, i HAD to binge the show like😭 as for the penalty, it’s just bc leorio gambled away their hours with his betting against leroute (pink hair girl)💀 they’re just making them spend the 50 hours directly in that room as a sort of pause in their way through the tower bc technically those 5 one-on-one battles were just the first real obstacle they encountered. once their penalty passes and they leave the room, they then have less than 10 hours to get through the rest of the tower (aka whatever other obstacles they may face) and hopefully make it to the section where hisoka is in rn since he already passed the trick tower phase that’s why they got big ass clocks everywhere; if they don’t all pass through the tower by the time the 72hrs are up, they’re out of the hunter exam since that means they’d have failed
