I'm a giant anime fan but one piece was something I could never get behind because of the drawing style but I gave the live action a go when it dropped (because I've gotten into some of my favorite animes through their LA's) I have seen this LA a total of 9 times already in the span of a month it is that good and after watching your reactions (hearing the opinon of someone who has seen the show and loves it dearly which I gathered when I heard you point out the one piece reference in the Topline MV) I am finally ready to give the manga and the anime another try

I was definitely one of them people lol I have friends who have been begging me to watch one piece for years and I was sure nothing on God's green earth could move me to start such a task. But then the cast for this live action was so gorgeous and the tiktok algorithm did its thing. I binged the live action 2 days after it released and it did its job bc now I'm slowly watching an episode of the anime here and there and it's GOOD I'm almost mad about it lol. This is the best live action adaptation I have ever seen and I'm pumped to see what they can do moving forward. We'll see how far I make it into the anime by the time season 2 is ready, but I was definitely happy to watch it through a second time with you
