At the moment, the only things these rocks can disgorge is stone, or ferrous stone. The stone will net you 5 gold at the end of the day, and the ferrous stone will get you 10. Before, the way that it worked was just you get 15 gold at the end of the day, but I feel like this allows there to be a little bit of a gamble. It is also totally possible with this system to just leave without doing anything, but I may do something with there being a chance of getting caught.
I also like the idea of having your skill at mining level up as the game goes by and you get more difficult tasks, like manning the smelter. Or possibly having success at mining stuff be governed by your Strength stat. Higher strength, higher chance of getting better stuff.
I'm not sure about anything here yet, as this bit of the game has gone through several different iterations just this week, so I might end up altering it again if I'm not happy with it still.
Another thing I should tell you is that school is starting in earnest now, so the amount of new content in these updates will probably be smaller. It's not too hard to put one out every week, but don't expect huge news of new quests or the like.
