I have been debating for a long time whether or not to include a world map for this game. My main issue with it was that without random battles, what's the point?

I experimented around with different ideas of what to do and finally landed on the ability to explore. In short, there is a quest line that I am working on that will have you gathering quite a few ingredients in order to make equipment. The problem with that is that there are relatively few areas in the game that would feel like actually running around the field searching for a particular plant. The world map solves that nicely.

I have created 3 biomes as of now that can be accessed by walking over their respective tile and pressing enter. They are: forests, hills, and meadows. Upon doing this, the game will randomly select one of three maps for the area and transport the player into the center.

At the moment, it's just the one quest line that requires you to do this, but since there are quite a few reagents required, and it's easy to add more, I can think of some ways to apply it.

Just something to look forward to with the Norbermark Update!

I like the idea of the map, I am thinking this might be a way to bring in the dullness of day to day walking to the Fields/Woods/Mines. Each of those area's could have random zone with some kind of mini game or event built into them. Of course this would also be used for the escort mission, and visiting the towns.

I kind of want to keep the walking to the jobs as streamlined as possible because I want travelling to be fun for the player. That being said, having random events that can occur is a good idea. Maybe I'll finally build a better combat engine than the one I have for the tower demoness.

Yea, I must admit, I am torn between slavery being boring and annoying so you will work hard to get out of it, and the fact that with multiple playthroughs to see different choices, I am likely to do daily work hundreds of times, so would like it to be streamlined.

Really love this game! It was the first spanking rpg I played on animeotk, and I'm so happy to see it continuing. Expanding the options for Norbermark is something I'm definitely looking forward to. Are there going to be additional events for the tower or any other revisit-able locations?

Anything's a possibility really. The tower, I definitely want to revisit, because it's actually supposed to be a tower and not just a floor. My idea was that the event with Aya just shows you where the tower is and the combat system, but I need to settle on a new combat system that is a little easier to build than the one in right now. That way, I can have the demonesses as bosses every few floors, while scattering weaker enemies in between.
