In fairness to Paul, not only is 1 Tim a forgery, but the passage in 1 Cor against women is probably an interpolation. As I recall, that passage appears is different places in different manuscripts.

I used to be puzzled by how Jesus (in Matt) said that not one bit of the law would go away until the end, but Paul said not to follow the law. Did Paul outrank Jesus so that he could countermand his orders? And since Jesus was god, did that mean that Paul outranked god?
