I think we should stop asking whether the bible condones or endorses slavery. Those terms are too vague, making it too easy for apologists to dodge and evade. A better question is whether the bible condemns slavery. That is a lot harder to dodge (not that apologists won't try).

I like how proud he seems to be that God helps them in Egypt with just a passing mention of the 400 years of prayer it took for him to be bothered to act.
