'Prayer is not about making god more like us, it's about making us more like god'. And he obviously feels that's he's further along that path. I doubt he'd ever admit to it, but that would make him 'better' than whoever he is addressing this too. And it just might be the reason why he comes across as insufferably arrogant. 'I don't know everything, but I know better than you'. Toxic indeed.
