I picked my car to replace the 12 year old one by walking on the lot, saying what model I wanted, found out it the option I wanted was on that model, said, "Oh well." Then bought the first one the salesman showed me. Neither emotional or rational. There are other ways to make decisions.

Since the default position on the question of the existence of something is that it doesn't exist, the failure of theists to demonstrate the existence of a god is all that is needed to conclude that that god does not exist. This applies not just to gods, but to everything, including unicorns and dark matter. If a Santa Clausist fails to demonstrate that Santa Claus exists, I am not required to conclude that Santa Claus might exist, I can say he doesn't exist.
