The show does not do religion? The Ishvalan culture is explicitly defined by its religious beliefs. Aside from Leto ine Liore, though, Amestris does not seem to have a particular religion. On the other hand, like LOTR and WOT, you do not have to have organized worship of an entity one can call God for that entity to exist within the metaphysics of the world the story exists in.
