I'm really enjoying your re-watch on this series! It's really interesting to see your differing reactions this time around. Dana...DAYnah. That's her name. For Clarus, regarding the stone on the Aiel; it's nothing, just a piece of "the fifth" or some such other loot the Aiel picked up and seemed to like enough to hang on his belt. For Mat, it's just something to trade for money. That's it. Nothing important. Regarding Nerdy's comments on not knowing where the people are; Yeah, this show is absolutely terrible at conveying location, time and space. And it doesn't seem to improve in this regard. When it first came out, because the episodes were being released once a week, you could actually go into the Amazon Extras, into an interactive map that showed where each of the characters/groups were located for that episode. However, I think it is very, VERY poor writing that the show needed external sources to explain things within the show. (ie: the interactive map, the origin stories, etc.) - No show should have to rely on external info sources to make their story coherent, but this one did.
