well, yes, the first episodes are quite funny but they are the ones that form the story. The great thing about this anime is the varied concepts it has, from sci fi, space, detectives, bounty hunters, cine noir, etc.,👌👌👌 And yes, there are many self contained episodes, but if you want a denser story with few episodes and with hidden clues in each episode I recommend EVANGELION
