Since it's Zero-G It's Zoinking.

Daxeah

Sounds like you need a refresher in how the ships have artificial gravity. First of all, the ship are built like skyscrapers, with the decks/floors perpendicular to the engine drives (not horizontal like spaceships in other shows. Then when the ships are in constant acceleration or deceleration (which they can do because of the Epstein drives) they experience “gravity”. Just like getting pushed back in your car seat when you seat on the gas. The ships in The Expanse usually travel at an acceleration which imparts a force of about 0.3g.which is comfortable for belters. It’s only when they turn their engines off and coast at constant speed that they experience 0g .

Nope. Book 2 ends in the middle of S3. S306 to be specific. Book 3 is S307 to S313.

I read the description as 'Bob Ross' and was like 'wait, we're doing art now?'

Alexandre Antunes

The Bobbie at full thrust comment got me xD

The Inedible Mattman!

Season 3 is a huge step up in budget from seasons 1 and 2, and it's still on the SyFy channel at this point. They wouldn't even get the Amazon money until season 4 lol

StefanV

I'm so excited, every episode in this season gets even better.

Ciaran McSavvy

Man, I really love getting to experience the Expanse all over again through you guys. So glad you're enjoying it as much as you are, you're in for something really special this season (and the final 3 seasons...... then there's an emotional void only filled by watching people react to the expanse).

The crazy thing about season three is that the show DOES. NOT. SLOW. DOWN. Personally I think that season five is better because we know our characters better and there is the best villain of the series (and one of the best in the entire sf), but season three is extremely re-watchable - it is almost like a several hours long movie. Or two. 3D printing. The technology improved a lot. There is great variety of stunning designs. I've discovered quite many are from Ukraine and it is a good way to support creators from that country by buying a file or two if you want to print something - money get there immediatelly which matters. You can search Etsy for designers and buy files on Cults or elsewhere. The Razorback is such a great ship/racing rocket and the printed model looks spectacular! China in the Expanse. Culture in the future the show is about is after a number of population shifts due to the global warming. Chinese influence is felt and seen, but English is the dominating language of communication - the lingua franca of this future, though there are many popular languages in certain regions. Firefly has done interesting work, but it is hard to predict what would happen in the future. Besides in real world China as a country will soon start diminishing in influence - reasonable predictions are rather bad for the country. That doesn't mean the Chinese language (in one form or another) or culture will - after all there are countries such as Taiwan. Personally I find it more interesting to see other Asian nations represented in the future UN of the Expanse like Vietnam or of course India. The Belt. There is no unified Belt. There is a similar culture, a different language which takes words and phrases from all kind of Earth languages - from Arabic to Polish. The Belt as a unified community will come, thought it is and will not be easy - the show is partially about nation building and many, many contradiciting ideas how to deal with this issue - sometimes violently. Take care!

The Icarus Collective

The Razorback is important because it was Julie Mao's old racing ship that was often referenced in Season 1.

stuart greenley

onward to IFF (name of the next episode) ......YES!

Bloo

Rob is spoiling yall with these gifts.

Quark's Bar

Season 3 baby!

Com1xguy

Yes!! I have been enjoying my 4th rewatch of this show with y'all!

Bryce Carlson

I foresee that in the coming season, there are going to be multiple people that Nerdy is going to want to punch in the face.

Xavier

Book 2 ends in the middle of S3, just like last season/book.

Shawn Anomaly

All time favorite....amen to that! For me there's nothing else that shares that spot with The Expanse!

Daxeah

This episode was so fantastic!!! The next one is even better lmao and the one after that and the one after that... etc. This is my favorite show of all time! If no one has mentioned it don't watch the opening credits for 3x7. "Amos need a mom" had me laughing so hard and the Bobbie at full thrust... hehehehe... Yall bring such joy to rewatching this show thanks so much.

Eldon

Great reaction!! (sad face) Now I have to wait another week for the next.....

Legion

Why shouldn't they watch the opening credits for 3x7? edit: watched them again. Spoilerphobia is out of hand when parts of a show spoilers the show

Avie_Tara

I love love love rewatching this series with you guys!!! So good!

Deana DeWall

Drummer is back! "hitch your tits and pucker up, it's time to peel the paint"!

Jonny shaw

Nerdy's gonna lose his shit watching that. One of my top 5 episodes of the series, purely for the end section.

Connor Donlon

It literally spoils the surprise at the end of the episode, a scene that is definitely written to be shocking and surprising. That's the definition of a spoiler lol

Bramha Ghosh

Hitch your tits and pucker up, it's time to peel the paint (this season is non-stop!)

Daxeah

Watch them again but pay more attention this time.

Miroslav Hundak

I don't remember if artificial gravity in The Expanse has been discussed already, but just to reiterate, it is a byproduct of engine thrust. For everyone inside the ship this force is indistinguishable from gravity. Larger ships are structured in such a way that the floors are stacked on top of each other from bottom floor being closest to the engine to the topmost floor being in the ship's nose. That way you don't need mag boots so long as the engines are running.

DrEEsky

The authors and show runner have said on multiple occasions that they never got a big increase in the budget, they just learned how to do things better. Even after the jump to Amazon, their budget stayed pretty much the same but they had such dedicated and experienced crew that it seemed as though the budget increased.

Varun Laks

As far as the Expanse seeming very United States-esque, remember that is just the UN. The System itself isn't very US-influenced, and is not only much more Asian influenced, but overall just a melting pot of many cultures. Personally, I think this is done much better here than in Firefly. The UN is fairly US-like, but that's mostly because the UN Building is in New York and that's just the only parts of Earth we've seen thus far. But with Avasarala, we can see that even the UN can be pretty multi-cultural as well.

Legion

I paid attention and don't think it's that big of a deal. I just gotta ask, though, if it were one of those episodes where the opening credits were still running while stuff is happening on screen, would you tell them to skip that scene?
