Bronwyn Turnquist

Kenny was the one to say Levi's last name.

That torture method is used by the CIA in Guantánamo Bay so it’s not unrealistic at all

Quark's Bar

"Bertholdt is wet toast." Grandslam ⚾️

Lmao! You’re commentary on this episode, is exactly why AOT is one of the best shows out there. I can’t wait til y’all make it further into season 3 and 4

Very nicely said "Eren is a philosopher's stone, he is not a Harry Potter". I'm stealing that =)

Eren didn't find a new power to win in s1 he just enraged and forced his healing and they used non cannon enhanced fire effect , he came to terms with the reality this world ain't like a shonen world , he got eaten in ep 5 , showing the chest determination isn't enough , he lost even with his powers in ep 21( which is a subversion of the shonen trope because usually shonen MCs win once they have their power after failing at some point in the series in ep 5 and have more plot armor )but he realized it might have been annie and hesitated + the horror that even if everyone is in danger there's still people, who are trying to destroy the walls, betrayed by one of his cadet comrades who he grew with , he came to terms with the world he is in is cruel ep 24 his extra rage in episode 25 it's just a aculmination of that. He is finally fighting to his fullest in his Titan form this time without the hesitation he had. Also there's more but part of the reason why we are introduced to him as our protagonist is he represents the shounen MC trope of a idealistic boy mc who wants to fight and win with friendship and hope(that if you just believe in your comrades everything will be okay, this is presented in animes like Naruto ,one piece , zatch bell ) etc, however aot added more depth to itself by making other characters relevant and not making the world revolve around thr mcs desires

Gu

I'm aware ,I edited to add that ,another interpretations is just it's being forced steam.

Sometimes I read comments and go "maybe they'll loose me this vid" but honestly I love seeing your guys reactions and the different viewpoints even between you two. No one person is going to connect the dots the same as others, I'm so excited to see where your brains goes as it continues.

This is not a spoiler because the anime never discusses this for some reason, but the manga covers it. The Ackerman clan is a bloodline that was experimented on by one of the early kings using titan spinal fluid. They were experimented on so much that their bloodline gained an immunity to various things, memory manipulation by the founding titan was one of them. They also gain immense strength when their survival instincts are triggered among also being unable to turn into titans. And so the king would use them as weapons for protection for centuries until something happened and it was realized their memories were unable to be wiped. This is why they were slaughtered, and escapees hunted/persecuted. So they aren’t a “magical” bloodline of people who have magical powers for no reason.

As far as the “all Asian people are immune” thing, there is a reason why asians here are immune and it’s not the same reason as the ackermans. But it would be a spoiler if I expanded so, more to come on that later.

Buddy. This is a huge spoiler actually considering how little we know about the world at this point. Maybe delete this and repost when we get like halfway through season 4.

Gu

I think It's not properly revealed in the @Aaron show ackermans are human titans

Emily Dawson

Mikasa is only related to Levi/Kenny through her father. Mikasa's mom is of Asian (Oriental) race and the only person who is of that race other than Mikasa.

Xaniss

no regrets IS canon...
