I get that. I feel like part of why I'm struggling with it is that Trost is one of my favorite TV arcs ever, and this is struggling in comparison for me.

I agree with you, Nerdy. With as much hubris as they left with, there is no way the people at home aren't coming for his job. There would be demands for his resignation as well as an investigation into what happened. The apparent reckless loss of life with no clear positive results does not bode well for Erwin. My own opinion notwithstanding, from what you have seen, I absolutely understand where you are coming from and I agree.

I agree Erwin stans are all clouded by nostalgia glasses imo. S1 Erwin did not deserve his reputation nor the loyalty that he inspires.
