I think there was also a lesson for Maju in not letting her participate. As the leader of group C the task was to “remove the least necessary member and make them available to draft.” Maju used the opportunity to try and get drafted into a team with more skilled members thinking she’d get picked being on the red team. When Jurin had to draft she chose not to pick anyone (she couldn’t draft the next highest, Hikaru, because she was the one that let her go), and Team 2 decided to take Hikaru over Maju, and obviously Maju wasn’t allowed to go back to her own team. As Simon said, these cuts, drafts, ranking, eliminations are all to put them in stressful situations and see how they react and overcome. In Eps 00 Simon says XG’s bond is stronger than family. That’s important here. Jurin made all the right decisions to protect not only her, but her team as well. Maju made decisions to protect herself (not faulting her, she’s still so young, and I’m sure learned from these lessons).

the thing i really appreciate so far is how the trainees are not discouraged from being upset when they are dropped/don't do well: of course its a very rigorous and tough journey they're on, and they're competing to make it into the group, but in a way all these rejections they face (and HOW they respond and bounce back after them) is one of the best lessons they can take away from it. and being allowed to cry, being asked explicitly to share their true feelings without shame for them is a very healthy and empathetic decision by the leadership here. love that ❤️ idk if its just me, but seeing all of these very young girls being trained so rigorously (and with fairly mature themes and concepts) makes me wonder if there is female support for them: i've only seen one or two female dance teachers, and while training can come from anyone, i hope that the girls didn't feel uncomfortable by the seemingly majority-male teachers and coaches without adult female supervision

Johan I know you’re taking the time to upload episode 3 trying to photoshop out all the crying you did watching but you probably should just post it. 🤣

I've been super busy recently and haven't had a chance to react to it but I'll probably do it this week! 💙
