Okay, since BP is over I feel like this show will for sure fill the void in my heart for the time being. It's hard to judge from just the first episode, but I already feel invested and interested in the trainees and I know it will just continue and grow from here!

I hope the quality of the episode is alright! I have checked the future episodes and most of the episodes are in lower quality unfortunately and it affects the audio as well. Again, if anyone has the rest of the episodes in 1080p and can share them somehow, then please DM me! I want the best video and audio quality possible, for all of us. 😩

Ooh, I'm excited, I haven't actually seen Produce X 101 before, though I'm very familiar with a lot of the trainees. Some more groups that have members on the show, with a few of them you're already familiar: Younite BDC (from Peaktime) EPEX MIRAE E'LAST Ghost9 (also on Peaktime) BAE173 (Peaktime) Victon Ciipher UP10TION (bandmates of Hwanhee and Dongyeol on BP) and notably WOODZ, who is a solo singer. I know there are also a few more that do solo music/acting etc.

My favorite Mnet Survival Season!!!!! I agree with u Wooseok(former Up10tion) looks alike to Seobin😂 It was quite viral back then. I miss Up10tion sooooo much🥹 They sent 2 of them here and 2 of them on Boys Planet… I love all of them.. But now I can’t see them together🥲

oh I'm excited to watch this show together with you:)) This season has one my favorite signal songs, x1-ma it's so gooddd; I love the dance break sm. sorry for the quality;( hopefully someone can find the episodes in better quality, if not I would truly recommend watching the performances on youtube since it's those parts that have the worst quality for some reason, overall the audio. I'm pretty sure all performances are on youtube!

wAIT omgggg tony it's here, I'm writing this while watching but omfg tony, he also participated in youth with you(survival show in china) and he was really popular, idk if he will be popular here but I hope so. Finished watching:)) Yena is from yuehua, so far my favorite trainee it's the young cute guy, the center, I forgot his name lol but he is funny. I felt bad for the trainees that got X, overall the starship guys, they looked really nervous

Hi johan we enjoy watching this season with you but I have bad news for you due to the seobin (jyp trainee) controversy they took him off the show and mnet removed any trace of him from the show so you won't see his audition in the next episode

oh the trauma of watching this and learning everyone, only for the group to force disband :,) but it led me to groups i love, such as cravity (ult), victon and mirae. Probably more but cant recall.

yeah the seobin bullying accusations turned out to be fake, but that only came out after he was removed from the show and his contract with jyp was terminated. bc they already filmed ep 2 and 3maybe 4 i dont remember,before he left the show they try their best to edit him out. he does perfom in ep 3 tho, but every time he sings they show someone else;( i am still salty we didnt get to see his audition.

As I’m watching with you I remember more groups that haven’t been mentioned. Theirs the group MYTEEN which after x101 a duo group B.O.Y was formed and the group MYTEEN was forced to disband. The maroo trainees formed a subunit named TeenTeen who then later debuted in Ghost9

36:06 that hyunbin boy is a member of keita’s boygroup (ciipher) him and keita and other members are still active under that group also i think hyunbin joined fantasy boys now! ciipher members are working hard bless them

Going to try to make sure my comments don't spoil anything that happens within the season/X1, but since you already know the group disbanded early I'll provide some info about any current trainee activities that I'm aware of. Hangyul was 19 internationally when this season was being filmed. He does look a lot like Seobin (the one that acted with Jiwoong), but 8:17 is actually Kim Wooseok (formerly of UP10TION). I'm not sure if Seobin was even in the X1-MA performance recording. I only recently joined your Patreon because of Peak Time but will be finishing up with it soon and then starting Boys Planet. I'll be watching these episodes as they come out though; I was more invested in this season than the previous ones because I became a fan of Hangyul's after he competed on The Unit+ back in 2017/2018. Yes this is season four, but I think they said that because this was the second season forming a boy group. Produce 101 season 2 formed Wanna One. Six of the seven DRIPPIN members competed in this season, but one of them was an individual trainee when he competed on the show. Yohan is in WEi which is prounounced as WE-I. There's another trainee in this season that is also in WEi and there are two contestents from season 2 there as well. I forgot I was making notes for a while lol. Four of the Starship trainees are Cravity members now. You'd actually identified the center (Dongpyo, from Maroo) correctly before they came in, Hyeongjun (the one you pointed out) wasn't the center. Dongyeol and Hwanhee were the Boys Planet trainees from UP10TION. There so much X imagery and other show elements in this season. 1:04:23 yes, he is a member of LUMINOUS! His name is Steven and one of his now-groupmates, Youngbin, is also in this season. I think only one of the Source trainees has debuted and it't not the one that was focused on the most in the audition clip. I'm pretty sure I read that one of the other two is in the group JWiiver. I think you're saying Dongpyo correctly. He and one of the other boys he auditioned with are members of the group MIRAE now. I mentioned them before but four of the Starship boys are Cravity members. The fifth one, Moon Hyunbin, ended up debuting as a member of Ciipher (Keita's group) and is currently competing on MBC's survival show Fantasy Boys (tbh I'm not sure I'd recommend the show? xD;;;). A lot of companies send unprepared (new/barely trained) kids to these shows because they're like idol boot camp (intense + focused training); it's got to be really tough. Wonjin, the one that was crying, did get a D but he was upset because of/for the other boys that got Xs. Maroo is GHOST9's company, all three of the boys debuted in GHOST9 but one left the group prior to their participation in Peak Time. Yohan is very handsome indeed. He's a 99-liner like Hangyul, so he was 19 internationally when the show took place. He'd only been an idol trainee for one week when he did his first interview for the show. His audition is an example of great song selection, confidence, and charisma. Yeah I think Dongbin's jacket said "sexy nerd" with the nerd scratched out/taped over. 2:10:00 the group in Peak Time that you were thinking of is BXB (team 4:00). MXM was a duo subunit of AB6IX that ended in 2019 when one of the members had a DUI scandal and left AB6IX. 2:13:26 Seungyoun (in the plaid) from Yuehua is the soloist WOODZ. He didn't sing the whole audition song but the editors cut out the other members for the broadcast so it certainly seemed like he did. 2:15:00 both of them are in AB6IX and competed in Produce 101 season 2. Eunsang (the red haired trainee with the three BDC boys) is in another group at the company now named Younite. The third boy that auditioned with Hangyul and Dohyon left MBK prior to BAE173's debut. International ages, Hangyul was 19 while Dohyon was 14 (he was 16 according to the Korean age system, but tbh I've never fully understood why sometimes one year was added and other times two years). We know that Dohyon has filed to suspend his contract with the company, but there hasn't really been any other information made available (just lots of rumors/speculation). Nothing has been said in regards to BAE173, but the other members have all expressed that BAE is nine members via Bubble messages, their anniversary tweets, and they also intentionally mentioned Dohyon a couple times during Peak Time. I'm really curious about it all, because he didn't file to terminate his contract; going for a suspension instead could mean he just wants an extended leave while he focuses on something else (he only just graduated from high school) before he returns to actively promoting? I'm definitely waiting for more information. FYI BAE173 debuted under the label Pocketdol Studio, but I think it's effectively the same company. One thing I'm sure of, they need to hire someone that knows how to effectively use social media and manage promotions/media presence because they clearly have no idea what they're doing. Okay, I'm going to get back into the episode now. Ohh, I see now the one that you thought was Junseo and I can see why, but the only BAE members competing in this season are Hangyul and Dohyon. MYTEEN's disbandment was announced shortly after this season ended; it was probably being discussed before they joined this season. After MYTEEN's disbandment, Yuvin and Kookheon promoted together as a duo under the name B.O.Y for about a year before the duo disbanded as well. :< I'm pretty sure they've kept in touch, but I haven't really kept up with their individual activies since. OH! I just checked and see that you watched MIXNINE, so that is probably where you are remembering Kookheon~ Will be looking forward to the next episode~

Watching it I also noticed a few more things: As already mentioned by others, Luminous members participated, one member of Blitzers is here as well (Jinhwa) and HOW DID I NOT EVEN KNOW, there is also one NiNE.i member! I was quite surprised when I recognized him, but it's the leader, Jewon, he participated as a member of Highlight/Beast's agency (though he obviously left after the show, NiNE.i is under a different company). Actually all of the Woollim trainees except for one became part of Drippin, but there's even another member on the show that wasn't part of Woollim at that time, the other members recruited him afterwards 😅 Nam Donghyun was also featured quite prominently at the beginning of the episode (red hair, with famous brother), he is a solo artist who used to promote as "Boyhood"´, but since last year goes by his real name again. He doesn't have a lot of releases, but I like his music a lot, worth checking out (even if it's on your own!) I think there are a few BL actors present, most notably Han Gi Chan, the Fantagio trainee that challenged for the number 1 seat with one-handed push-ups, he plays a main role in "Where your eyes linger" (actually one of the first idol-adjacent BL actors). There's also Lee Se Jin (nowadays Han Se Jin), who took on a main role in Mr. Heart and who maybe is one of the most adorable people on this planet. 🥰 SM has never sent a trainee to a survival show (at least not that I'm aware of) and they don't even do their own ones unlike the other big labels. Though I actually like that, I don't think they have much to gain from having a trainee participate. They don't need the exposure, they don't need the training on the show and they would risk their reputation if one of their trainees did badly... (Also, "We have, from Girl's Planet... Gunwook" made me laugh so much 😂)

JYP Entertainment might have waited to find out the result of the bullying allegations, but I think his contract was terminated more so because of some photos that were shared around the same time of him drinking and smoking while underage (I'm pretty sure I read that he'd admitted to 'partying' in high school, but please correct me if I'm wrong). JYPE has always put a lot of emphasis on good ethics/behavior, they even had dedicated segments about such in the predebut survival shows for both TWICE and SKZ, so those photos + the allegations would have been a lot for them to just disregard. Fortunately, he was able to sign with another company and make his debut as an actor. He was great in Roommates of Poonduck 304.

it's pretty much, you're always one year older, but Korean ages change with the new year (not on their birthday). For example, Seungkwan from Seventeen is from January 1998. His Korean age is 26 and right now his international age is 25, because his birthday already passed. In comparison, Kim Jiwoong from ZB1 is from December 1998. His Korean age is also 26 (because they're both from 98) but his international age is still 24 because his birthday hasn't passed yet! Hopefully that explains it.

Loved watching you figure out where you knew everyone from! It's definitely interesting watching the show again after so many years. I'm extremely excited for you to react to the individual trainees' audition next episode, because Choi Suhwan is in that team and he's really close with Sung Hanbin and also happened to be my onepick!

The host Dongwook is in a sub-company that falls under Starship Entertainment and if you ever check out "The Game Caterers Starship Edition", a lot of Starship actors joined WJSN, IVE, Cravity, etc and Dongwook is hilariousssss!

To this day, I still wonder what he did for the audition and exactly what he did during the re-evaluation that caused him to drop to X-rank. You can tell MNet was hyping him up in the first episode only to quickly edit him out of the rest of the episodes he was in.

Idk if you remember (cause I think you've watched part of the Unit) but Hangyul was on that show too and he really was a BABY then. At the time he was part of the predebut group IM which was eventually canceled and disbanded. Also, that #1 Seat is cursed. Between Produce and Planet series, no one whos ended up in that seat after everyone walks in during the first episode has made it in to the final group. I think Hui was the only one who made it to the finale who sat in the #1 seat.
