OKAY I'M HOOKED! The more I understand the concept of this show, the more I get into it. Feels like a nice change from BOYSPLANET which I'm also reacting to right now and I hope that this can help shed some light on these talented boy groups!

Let me know what you think about the show in the comments! Ryan Jhun I'm watching you 😐

HOPE YOU LIKE IT 💙 LOVE YOU ALL

Lee Chan from DKB is Hyunjae’s childhood friend! They’ve been friends since elementary school, so he’s very known to us. They feature in each others' TikToks and he's also been on Hyunjae's interview (Hyunjae's Now) with Kino a few weeks ago. Please support them, everyone!!! It broke my heart to hear him say he's envious of his friend because of how successful The Boyz is rn. Feeling like you're falling behind your friend is the worst. But they're talented af, so I'm sure it's gonna be their turn to shine.

Ryan Jhun’s comment towards ATBO kinda pissed me off and left me confused. It just reminded me of when YG got ticked off by LOONA during their audition in Mixnine out of nowhere. My reaction went from "uh...wtf?" to "what the actual fuck" lmao. The way he approached them was so wrong. He even made other judges uncomfortable. It's completely fine if he didn't like their performance but was it really necessary to say "You guys just didn't practice enough"? He should've talked to them about what they could do to improve for their next stage instead of calling them out for crying.

Meredith Jones

Apparently MINO has schedule conflicts with the show so he’s being replaced by Moonbyul from Mamamoo as a judge. I am also so on board with this show. As a Kingmaker it is sad to see them go so early but I do think that that wasn’t their best performance but as a DKB fan it’s so nice to see them get the recognition they deserve.

Sinbad

I officially became a fan of Vanner from this! I really like this show for highlighting groups we may not know well and don't have recognition they should have. Vanner is certainly one of those groups! It makes me wonder how many other hidden gems there are in these small unknown companies.

2023-04-25 00:09:54 this is soooo interesting!! i have a few comments abt some of the groups: 1 - BAE173 seems really cool! the member who was in X1 i actually recognize, i think i used to get him mixed up with sangyeon when i first learned tbz members (now i think he kinda reminds me of a mix of juyeon & sangyeon ... aka he's hot LSFJSDK) i wanna see more from them! 2 - i feel so sorry about kingdom :( i only know them from your videos, and i really like their concept and a few songs (blinders is on repeat for me!!) ... totally agree w your comment abt how it feels harder for boygroups to stand out from their concept, compared to girlgroups who show much more variety in their visuals & sound. kingdom is really a breath of fresh air in my eyes. i hope they don't toss their concept completely out of the way, but use this feedback to energize the members to grow their skills outside their concept if that makes sense. 3 - i think i have fallen a little bit in love with DKB! firstly, the members are both stunning and charming/funny, aka my weakness 🤩 they completely made The Real their own, which is not an easy thing to do! also i love that tbz are able to be a source of inspiration for this generation of idols, to show that you can become successful a few years down the road from debut :) love that message! i hope DKB continue to shine here 4 - yeah um wtf was that comment for ATBO from ryan jhun ... i hope they completely crush their next performance just to shut him up :-) 5 - am i crazy or did the group that covered monsta x "beautiful" do amazingly ??? they only got 6/8 votes but had a flawless performance in my eyes, idk 6 - THAT ARRANGEMENT OF FEVER BLOWS MY MINDDDD I NEED THAT TO BECOME AN OFFICIAL VERSION, I NEED ITTT! happy for that group too, they seem really happy and excited just to be performing together again 7 - that group of part-timers stole my heart! they made adore u into a new concept that fit these members' visuals, and both their vocals and dance were super impressive!! deserved that all-peak voting result!!! Groups I know from this episode that your not familiar with that performed are 13:00 Ghost9 with GOT7 song. The part timers 11:00 is vanner who did seventeen song. 3:00 IN2IT with enhypen fever. 15:00 BLK with monstax beautiful, some of the members have acted in BLs. 21:00 24K they did BTS song

Amber Domi

I feel so much for Hangyul. Mans has been in Produce x 101, The Unit and now this. He keeps winning/getting into the debut group but he just can't seem to catch a break. He's so unlucky so I really hope this works out

Sinbad

Vanner was the group that were in the baseball jackets and performed Seventeen's Adore U song. The ones that were working part time jobs. They're the epitomy of a talented Kpop group that gets swallowed up in this saturated industry and don't get the recognition they deserve. I hope they do well all the way to the end!! I also loved DKB!

johanmoon

is that the guy from BAE173?? istg i forget all their names as soon as the episode is over, i'm sorry!! 😭 i'm excited to see more of him!!!

I'm really glad IN2IT got you interested with the BLACK MAMBA cover (Their three members Inpyo, Inho and Isaac love dancing on girlsgroup especially both Inho/Inpyo, the diva duo). Also I seriously appreciate your comment about the vocal aspect, the fact that it's not everything (+ it wasn't even that bad) and when I saw the resultat it's really sucked because they are one of my ultimate group and as a fan, I know all the hardship they went through and really thought PEAK TIME would get them a second chance. All the comment about their vocals really made me laugh because they actually have such great vocalists, the performance just didn't show all the potential they have. That's why I think it's a shame we already have elimination, they should have let them time to grow a little. I'm not sure people really talked about you about their history so I wanted to give you informations on this (way more detailed) : Like they said, IN2IT is the final group from the survival show BOYS24. To understand everything, it's good to detail BOYS24 It was a survival around 2016, I remember at that time they were describing it as the "PRODUCE 101" boys version, well people at the time described it like that but in the end the survival was totally different in terms of process and rules. I'm not going to lie to you, MNET organisation for this show was very badly. Half was aired but behind that, it wasn't the end. No lie, BOYS24 is MNET's worse survival show in my opinion (also didn't really receive good response from the public) and the most cruel. It's also the one they want to erase at all costs because they fucked so badly. When I say worse it's not that the candidates were bad. MNET was just terrible. The emotional violence and mistreatment that all these boys have received on this show is despicable. You might know some participants from this show actually since : Echan and Heechan from DKB actually participated in it (Echan is friend with Jiahn from IN2IT, Heechan was eliminated very quickly from B24), PEAK TIME cut JWIIVER performance (EVERGLOW cover) but their member Ryujei was also in BOYS24 (you might like him, he is really into girlsgroup), Junseo from BAE173 also in PEAK TIME did B24 too (just like Heechan, was quickly eliminated). Others who participated but aren't in PEAK TIME : Sungho/Rubin (1TEAM), Alex (8TURN), Doha/Jaemin (XEED), Taedong (JBJ/OMEGA X) etc... For the broadcast part, the participants were separated into several UNIT (YELLOW, RED, BLUE, PURPLE, WHITE, SKY, GREEN etc.), they had several missions/covers. The hardest ? The elimination system EPISODE 3, the judges had to chose two participants in the team for the elimination, this is where the worst part begins, because do you know who had to take the decision about which participants would be eliminated ? The other members of the UNIT. It was just terrible to watch as a viewer, you felt bad for everyone because none of the members wanted to choose, the mental pressure of this???? Especially taking into account there were kids. Afterwards they would eliminated a whole units however with this, a lot of participants who were loved dearly were eliminated. So, the producers decided to give them a chance to come back. The master had to choose five ex-participants that could return. However, it wasn't easy to get them back. Always a rule. Each of the revived members were added to one of the five remaining units and after their performance, they would face elimination. This time, the returning member could choose who they would face in the elimination. Once again, the burden of who gets eliminated has been put on the members shoulders. These five boys came back for a second chance and were already forced to pick the member they thought was the weakest and they had to bear the burden of eventually removing that member from the team they were with all along. Literally Echan had to choose to go against his bestfriend David (David totally understood but this moment was heartbreaking). Insoo chose to go against Sangmin (who was the leader of the SKY UNIT) for elimination knowing that the members would choose Sangmin over him, he sacrificed his chance to comeback because he didn't want to break this team bond. When I say it's one of the worst survivals, it's so hard to watch, the mental pressure they had on their shoulders and the guilt they must have felt after that? I don't even want to think about it. It was psychologically violent for them. Yonghyun one of the participants in the RAP mission even dissed MNET and the producers: "Those writers who wanted this fight. Even when the leaders change, justification doesn't change. Just keep being bossy like that" In the end, one of the UNITs "won", well just selected as "Team MVP" and they got some money to perform a bit and promote. For the other part, the remaining boys had to do many concerts and when I say many, it's MANY : 260 Concerts. Imagine this??? It's crazy. It was even harder for the members of UNIT BLACK (this unit was formed with the results of the BOYS24 Semi Final during a live, Jiahn/Yeontae/Inpyo/Inho/Hyunuk members of IN2IT were in this unit, same for Sunghyun ex-member of IN2IT) Not only did these members had to follow an idol schedule due to their promotions for their song “Steal Your Heart,” but they also had to perform during shows, and as a result, they got very, very little sleep. (i heard it was like only 2h?) The members were constantly injured and taken to the hospital. BOYS24 had a huge impact on the participants and not in a good way. Some had their dreams totally shattered. They abandoned the idea of becoming idols and debuting. Some candidates even the popular one ended up begging their fans not to vote for them MNET often tries to erase this survival because they know very well what they did and they also often try to erase the ex-participants of BOYS24 when they come back in one of their survival especially PRODUCE. (Example: Sunghyun having his part totally cut in the performance of GIRLS GIRLS GIRLS during PRODUCE X101 or the fact in the part where they were mentioning participants already idols, there were no mention of Sunghyun as a member of IN2IT, other ex-participants had little screentime too. Taedong (in PRODUCE S2) and Sunghyun (in PRODUCE X101) ended up doing the RISING STAR [BOYS24 theme song] pose at the time of eliminations for a little reminder of BOYS24 existence to MNET. You have the start of everything now IN2IT : They were anounced with 9 members but Sungho decided he didn't want to be part of it (i understand him, he saved his ass), at some point Jinseob left because of health problem (he had already problem during BOYS24), Sunghyun left after PRODUCE X101 and this is where he spilled the tea. He revealed that he had never once received any type of monetary earnings including any sort of contract payments. When he would ask for IN2IT promotion the agency would respond negatively saying they spend too much on BOYS24 to invest in them. He even asked solo promotion at least because his family had financial problem but they always denied him. He even revealed that at some point, IN2IT members had to pay themselve for theirs outfits and hairs (dye/cut). The members had to pay out of their own pocket for the hair styling that they needed for their schedules. They had no plan for them and Sunghyun also said the agency was blocking every single post that he wanted to post on social media to talk with the fans. He even wrote something like "it appears that debuting was more of a curse to us." Oh by the way, they were under MMO now know as WAKEONE. They are still as bad as ever and shitty (I know Kep1er's fans complain about them, not to add what they did with TO1 by removing weirdly some members like Jerome, Woonggi etc and if I remember back in the day, Kang Daniel also had conflict with MMO) After their contract ended, IN2IT became independant but it isn't simple to do musics like that. They were at least able to make a little fanmeeting for their fans. The members ended up going to military following each others (minus Isaac who is Malaysian) and yeah they came back recently last years. They had such a hard time on BOYS24 and imagine getting nothing out of it at the end of everything, the agency not doing shit for you when you thought it would become better. The constant hardship they had to went through. I really hope they can shine at some point

2023-03-25 10:30:34 It was actually quite funny when Kyuhyun mentioned "2PM" to Jay Park, considering Jay used to be the leader of the group before he quit. Additionally, Tiffany's ex-boyfriend is also a member of 2PM, so it was a somewhat awkward but funny reference to make.
