i’m a year late with your reactions, but i have to say we had the exact same thought process during the announcement, watching this live as sunoo’s no.1 supporter was my personal hell 😭

2023-03-25 12:28:02 So… What we believe happened was that the people thought Sunoo was safe because of how highly voted he was during the first few rankings so they went to spam vote the others like Ni-ki and Jungwon who seemed to be at risk. Cause even Heeseung and Sunghoon were quite low compared to before. K was 7th in terms of global ranking, Sunoo was 8th and Daniel was 9th. The producers took a great decision and chose Sunoo and I could not be happier with that decision. Although I felt bad about K, it made sense. My reasoning is the following: K is a natural center, Heeseung is too. K and Heeseung’s personalities somewhat clash with each other and their roles would be the same. Ni-ki is an exceptional dancer and is so young, also from Japan. K is older and has a very “wide” gap from the rest (Heeseung is 2001, Jay Jake Sunghoon 2002, Sunoo 2003, Jungwon 2004 and Ni-ki 2005) so having K who’s born in 1997, Japanese and center would probably cause clashing and may be difficult for the rest. I don’t think they wanted a very foreign dominating group either (3 foreign and 4 korean in Enhypen) and adding a second Japanese would’ve made it foreign dominated lol. Also, I think that Bang PD was already thinking of launching a Japan group at that point, and K would be the perfect center. Add Ta-ki who’s the closest to him, Nicholas for an additional strong dance line and EJ who’s a growing all-rounder you have a pretty good base. K’s growth has been amazing in the past two years since I-LAND, and his journey with &Team has just started. It has been great to see you react (though pretty late) to this! And I can’t wait to see your journey with Enhypen!

It’s believed that the Pledis group will be debuting this year and as well the KOZ group. Some Trainee A members (another pre-debut group from HYBE who were very loved and talented) may be there as well. So we just have to wait. Daniel was seen a couple of months ago and he said he was still a trainee. Okay! After watching the entire show for.. I think the 5th time now (always on the lookout for good reactors watching this, which is how I ended up here despite not having watched anything else by you) I overall really enjoyed your reaction. Especially whenever you take what you're watching seriously, and you seemed really insightful during the situations that made me stop watching other reactors I tried to get into so that was honestly great. So many seemed to simply hate on Ni-ki, K, or even Heeseung without any further thought about why they did/said something, or even that it could just be the editing so kudos for that. I'm just really not a fan of the whole acting over the top during some of this, but that's just my personal preference.. think I'm still gonna stick around for a bit, think I saw road to kingdom in the tags ^^

I finally got the time to watch this one! What an emotional ride this was! I think in the end I was ok with the group though I felt horrible for K and Daniel. Daniel is young though so I think he'll recover quickly. K though seemed defeated but who can blame him? He is quite talented but not that engaging off stage or so they made it seem on the show. They did need a bright personality like Sunoo to round out the group. So I think the producers picked wisely.

Oh and I was going to mention also that Johan, you should try rapping! Your "please let it be Sunoo" flow was quite impressive! .😊 It's really enjoyable watching shows with you! I hope you can get back to finishing Salary Lupin soon also. I was having fun watching that with you!

You know about Hanbin/Tempest, Geonu and Jimin are with Just B and have already done a comeback, wow so fast! K, Taki, Nicholas and EJ are with &Audition boys [soon to be renamed and have new members] - they've shut down their Twitter but their YT site has content (dance practices, MBTI questionnaire, watching BTS in LA). Taki has grown up so much, he's almost unrecognizable. Kyungmin was with the group in the early stages but decided to leave HYBE, I'm not sure where he is. I'm hoping Daniel auditioned for KOZ (when Zico was discharged from the military, he decided to put together a boy group; his agency is also under HYBE - hopefully it will be more rap/R&B oriented, like his old group Block B).
