I'M SO HAPPY TO HEAR THAT, not too long ago i reacted to their debut MV and i loveee that song, i reacted to debut stage, dance practice and studio choom as well and i still listen to that song to this day!!! so happy to hear that geonu's talents are put to good use. i want to react to their other mvs as well!!

Agree about the I Need You performance. Expressions are the most natural when they come from somewhere real. Like a source it can grow from? It's like they tried to get the effect without the source, which made the expressions look a little overdone/unnatural. I think if the teachers spent more time actually helping them FEEL the emotions instead of just making them LOOK like they feel them, it would have looked more substantial. But idk, it's a very hard emotion to tap into as a teenager, so ofc they struggled, anyway Fake Love team had all the kids who are good at expressions so you can immediately see the difference

I definitely agree, I never noticed before but looking into BTS's original performances you can really tell that their expressions are definitely pained/emotional but they don't feel forced or unnatural, and that can be so difficult to portray if it's not your original song (and must be true for everyone who does cover dances -- like you want to tap into the emotions of a song as naturally as you can, but that's easier said than done)

(Since this is the BTS-test episode, i'm gonna get onto my army soapbox becauseeee 😅I feel like just because they're recognized as famous and global, doesn't mean that everyone knows why) This episode, both the first time I watched i-land and now that i'm rewatching with Johan, made me go and binge some BTS dance practices and really focus on their expressions more than anything (I'm typically like Johan and focus on the choreo, the formations, the transitions, etc and just get lost in how much I love the members) but I feel like the amazing thing about them is that they pull off so many kinds of expressions and make them feel authentic and natural, and that's what this test was all about. Here the DNA unit was praised for their confidence and facial expressions, the I Need U team had a hard time incorporating the emotions to their song authentically, and the expressions are what pushed the Fake Love team, at least for me, into the next round. I also think that that's what BTS is really excellent in: there may be more precise dancers, there may be more versatile singers, but what people love about BTS is that you can feel their sincerity every time they perform. Expression is something talked-about in Kpop but it's something that is difficult to work on if you're not in the right headspace, and can really make or break your performance. End rant! 💜

Oh these eliminations are heart wrenching! These darn shows always suck me in emotionally. 😢 I feel bad for my last comment on Ep 7 that Geonu wasn't bringing the charisma to the stage and now the very next episode he's eliminated. Poor Ta-Ki... I feel like this will weigh too heavily on him and it will affect his chance for improvement. I hope not. And then there's K who is confusing me right now. Either there's evil editing going on to sway viewer's opinion or he's starting to show a bit of arrogance. I do think he's really talented though and he did end up getting that egg badge b**ch so he should be grateful for that. 😉

I love how you are like “don’t be mean, shouldn’t laugh” after literally rewinding Ta-Ki’s cracked ass voice bit. Also, I think instead of “carelessness” you meant “carefree attitude” or if we’re being extra fancy there’s also “levity”. I do love when you don’t know a word though cuz then I get to learn a new word in Swedish! Real talk tho, I constantly forget Swedish is your mother tongue, I’m assuming English is like a second language in Sweden? Because I mean you speak English better than the entire state of Alabama!
