I'm so glad you responded to TVXQ's stages. Thank you so much. Speaking of "Tonight", it's one of the hardest songs to sing and it was written to test the talents of all 5 members. It's also one of my favorite songs because it shows their maturity in vocals and their great handling of notes. If you have time, you can listen to Tonight from their debut and Tonight (Asia 3rd concert Mirotic) or Dream concert to see how great they are.

watched this on YT! 🥰 I just want to say I am now part of that community who longs for your TVXQ/JYJ reactions. I have heard a lot abt them (I started kpop during 3rd gen) and how they are legends but it is bcs of you Johan... that I really started listening and watching their stuffs. I don't know why but whenever I see Jaejoong... I feel like crying. My heart feels him so much. He has gone through so much but his heart is still so pure! Can't stress it enough. and talent?! don't say no more. omg! his voice is just unreal, and the visuaaals! Even though these performances were what is now considered a long time ago, by watching you reacting to them it makes it feel like it's still so current like I am back in that time watching it again. And such great talent. Accidental sneak peak at Jaejoong in 2014 there :D If you are watching some of his earlier solo performances I highly recommend his performance of Butterfly in his 2013 WWW Concert https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9wtRl7JzzL4 - he looks absolutely PERFECT in this video.

There were some music show performances that showed their cute handsome faces well and had good quality. But those stages were either short or not live vocals. It's funny that of all the live stages of this video, only 2 had live vocals. It was customary in Korea to not sing live during really heavy choreographed songs, in order to truly display all of their dancing moves. Yet, once they moved to Japan, they soon realised that it was customary in Japan to always sing live, whether you were dancing or not. That wasn't much of an issue in Japan, since dancing was secondary there to live vocals (that's why Japanese stages are always sooo quiet), but Tohoshinki, as they were known in Japan, released "Rising Sun" and "O" in Japan as singles and they had to actually sing and dance completely live. They said it was a hard adjustment, since they didn't reduce the intensity of the dancing and their vocals were expected to sound the same as the CD. I think it was during that time that they really became the vocal power houses they are known as today. They could always sing live really well and they always sounded better live, but the ability to sing and dance like that without going out of breath, that's a skill they were forced to develop in order to survive in the Japanese market. Truly legendary!

Loved watching your reaction!! Jaejoong's vocals are always competing with his visuals, it is a tough battle! For Jaejoong, like everybody else in all of the comments, I would suggest reacting to the WWW 2013 Asia Tour in Yokohama. it is one of the best concerts both vocally and visually, specially for these songs. You can not miss these in a Jaejoong marathon, they are so iconic!! -"Butterfly" -"9+1#" -"Konayuki" -"Ultra Soul" -"Modem Beat" -"Kiss B"

Everyone here would recommend "Maze", a fan favorite!! It has only 2 live performances, one with amazing vocals from 2007, and one with amazing energy and stage presence in Tokyo Dome 2010. Both are worth watching! It was his only solo in Japan as part of Tohoshinki and the first taste of J-rock we got from him, and not the last for sure :) And the lyrics are so amazing and powerful!!! It is a must watch even after 17 years!!

This will be my last comment. I just didn't want to miss the chance to recommend these songs before you check out JJ's solo work. -"All that glitters" and "Rotten love" from The Rebirth of J in Japan (beautiful performances with pristine vocals, right after his army release) -"One kiss" and "Runaway" from I#Once MBC every1 (godly vocals and very recent, like 2022) -"Glamorous sky" (Tokyo Dome 2013 or Dream Concert 2023, or any other, they are all good!) -"Tender love" (underrated song even though it was a title track!) Plus his whole performance in Weverse 2024 is amazing!! He was the closing artist on day 2, in his first time participating in this festival! (Junsu was on Day 1).

Joined your channel and became a member after seeing your TVXQ content on YT! 👋 Echoing some of the other commenters re: Jaejoong's solo live stages, I know you'd love them (and not just cos he's often topless during the WWW tour 😉) Also, the Tonight performance from TVXQ's Mirotic tour; it was performed during the encore so they'd just done almost 3 hours of concert and STILL managed to hit the vocals; insane! Loving your TVXQ content so far and looking forward to seeing more! 🥰
