I noticed especially with this episode, but this season of the anime doesn't run within the same time frame that the manga has. It is entirely possible that the manga has its own time table, and the anime is fallowing closer to the LN, which is very likely as the manga has yet to have the new species being interviewed for immigration to the Demi-Plane yet. Season one held a closer time stamp to the manga, save for the fact that the heroes were introduced a couple chapters before Makoto first opened his company doors for business in the manga.
