I find that to be such a hilarious meta joke with the purple hair girl saying "why are you wasting our time repeating what we already know." In anime (and other forms of media too) there's always that one character who serves the purpose of spouting exposition just for the main character (and us the audience) to be caught up on the situation. Usually its such a terrible device cos its never done naturally. I feel like the author wrote that line here as a meta joke on lazy narrative storytelling. What's the point of this character explaining this situation to a crowd who already know why they're there in the first place. Especially such an important political event. Subaru as the main character is not being given the privillege of being expositioned the situation. Further emphasising that he's a complete nobody who's not even supposed to be here.
