No he’s clueless, he thought that giant Minotaur was another cow, he had cows on his farm he has to be brain dead for that. Also he recognizes she has good skills but thinks a cow beat her and all her knights.

I hate the clueless MC trope not because I have a problem with it but in pretty much all of them the MC has to be mentally retarded to keep thinking he’s weak, they act so stupid that they can’t live on their own because they’d die.
