one small detail and just my take on why shido isn't using VAV right now as it exhausts the mind of the user everytime you use it, for example on what kurumi did in s4 when she saved shido 204 times it mentally exhausted her so much that she needs rest. in shido's case this is the first time he used zafkiel in his entire life, and he only has the 6th bullet VAV sealed within him as kurumi isn't fully sealed within him as of now, and the drawbacks is too insane for him to do so, not to mention shido was already in a pain with the memories of mio flowing through him.
