IN regards to "Sorcerer" its kinda non translateable to english. "Maa jin" (魔人) is basically "maa" (魔) from "magic" (魔法) and "jin" is "person" (human). So "Sorcerer" is technically correct. But usually you would do something with "maa hou" aka magic. but 魔 alone is connotated by "Evil", "Sorcery", "witchcraft", "dark", "sinister", not just "Magic". "maa" is unnatural, and evil in folklore. compared to Seirei (spirits) or Kami (the various shinto gods), Maa is always had the air of Sinisterness to it, in most words that use it. Thats why "Maaou" 魔王 is translated as "Demon lord" (a relic from the dragon quest games back in the 80s when that was chosen for the big bad, as lots of isekais reference dragon quest), but in reality means more like "The king of the sinister/evil/dark" aka "the big bad boss", and has nothing to do with Demons themself 悪魔 (akumaa = "evil" + "maa"). So to put it aptly, they call makoto "That Evil (for us) Person" or that "Person of Sorcery", which they simplyfied to "Sorcerer". But "Sorcerer" evokes just the DnD class in me, so i dont really like it. Would have gone with
