Information about Shinons Mom: When i saw the GGO Arc for the first time i also thought "why is the mother looking at her child as if shes a monster" but after i rewatched SAO for the second time i read about her mother on the fandom and was able to understand it a little bit. Her mother lost her husband and never really recovered from that. They also lived together with shinons grandparents which took take of shinon and her mother. The incident in the post office apparently gave her mother the "final" blow which lead to her looking so shocked and being unable to take care of shinon.

Agil did had lines in the light novel but was cut out in the anime. Sinon did have feelings for Kirito and during her inner monologue, when she saw Asuna and Kirito interacting, she instantly knew their relationship and gave up. Johnny Black does return in season 3 but as a minor antagonist.
