Honestly, I'm really happy that you're giving this series a chance. it's one of those series that's really a masterpiece and it's progressing very well like frieren, i think people will watch it. I'm going to talk about the first part of the series and for the rest of the episode without any spoilers, in the first scene we see holo and a silver haired girl and this is set in the future, judging by the way they talk, then we have a flashback to the past as holo tells her story, pagans are people who don't believe in the one and only supreme creator and believe in everything else that is different, so anyone who worships the sun, the moon, a cow, a cat, a dog, any living or non-living thing is a pagan. The knights at the beginning of the episode ask us if we know anything about pagan celebrations in a village near here. Of course, Lawrence's relationship with this village is good, so he does not report the village. Lawrence comes back to the village after 1 year and comes across Holo celebrations as usual. The simple purpose of the Holo celebrations is to offer food and worship the Wolf named Holo (after many years she became known as a god) because she always brought bountiful harvests to the village, but after a while people started to forget the promise made with the Wolf (the old people died and the young people started to ignore it) To preserve the soil in, Holo would give 1 year of good harvests and 1 year of bad harvests, so that the soil would stay alive and give more harvests, because wheat is the most damaging crop to the soil. Yoitsu is a region in the Northern continent where Holo was born, and as she says, it is a silver-white world. Holo hesitates to show his Wolf form because everyone who sees it runs away and is afraid of her, because no one has ever seen a wolf that big. You will learn more about the wolf form in the future chapters, I hope this series will get views on youtube, if not, I hope you will continue as a patreon exclusive because a few patreon members, including me, really want to watch this series.
