Ahhhhhhhh, where do I even begin?

Welcome to all of you new Patrons. All of you, old and new, are seriously helping me more than you know. I'd like to begin by giving a huge thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

Guys. We've done some serious growing.

  • May came along and with that, was the Snapchat video.
  • June arrived after a brief blink, setting us through a huge slump with the CarlH and Nugumu videos.
  • July arrived, and kicked things into high gear with the Justin Y and Stephanie Stevens videos.

& now we're here. Post-Local58, and, to be frank, I just don't know where to go from here. It's times like this where I have to get creative. Everything that I've always wanted to cover and talk about has been talked about. My list is less of "to-do" and filled with more check-marks than ever before, and I'm scratching my head as to what to cover next.

With this being said, HiI'mMaryMary will be our next deep dive. The reason for this is that, back in early June, I wrote and recorded an entire 20+ minute script on the channel, only to put it by the wayside indefinitely. That time is now, and you'll be seeing that next week.

Then what?

Honestly, I couldn't tell you. Generally, I try to have scripts planned out for a few uploads but I'm at the bottom of the list here. With that, there's something I was going to run by you guys:

I've been doing some brainstorming. Generally during slumps, I try to game-plan and get creative as to what to cover next. I am always looking for new ways to expand NE. Many of you may or may not have seen my Twitter poll last week. I asked everyone about their thoughts on a series of video essays covering abandoned places that were once flourishing with life. In this, the videos would be in a documentary-style and, rather than exploring said places, I'd be taking a deep dive into their history (while keeping it interesting, of course).

This is where I need your input and help:

1. In your honest opinion, would this fit in with the channel as a side-series or is it too far of a deviation from internet mysteries?

2a. If you like the idea, what abandoned places would you like me to give a documentary/retrospective on? It could be anything. Schools, malls, theme parks, asylums, hospitals, anything. I'll do what you're interested in.

2b. If you do not like the idea, why? I love hearing constructive criticism as it helps me grow and improve, as it always has.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on all of this. Sorry if this was rambly, but I just wanted to reach out and get opinions from the ones that support me.

I think it might fit in well as a side series, because thinking about it, I haven't seen many channels that are like yours with something like that. However, I'd still try to keep it creepy, because when I watch one of my favorite feelings is the feeling of being creeped out. I mean, that's probably an obvious thing to put in there, but I'm just saying that if there's like that perfect blend of a documentary styled creepy video, I think it'd work very well and it might be something you don't see very often. I don't have any places I know of at the moment, so unfortunately I can't help you there, but if you're doing research to find some anyways, look for some in New York 😊

If there‘s any way you can get to Europe I can get you an abbandoned island that was used as a prison. Did a video about it myself. <a href="https://youtu.be/48T6Th-nXQM" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://youtu.be/48T6Th-nXQM</a> (4:35). It s more of a fun spooky vlog than insightful

So i actually love the idea of doing abandoned places. I actually watch Proper People (A Urbex channel) pretty regularly as well and i do like those sort of videos. Adding the history to it sounds like it would be amazing. Also if your searching for ideas there are alot of Horror RPGs (Pen and Paper RPGs Like Dungeons and Dragons) out there and not many people talking about them on youtube.
