Walked out into the back garden once and watched in amusement as elder university educated son hung his washing out on the rotary drier by carrying his bag of washing to each side in turn, hanging a few things up at each stop. When I suggested he stand still and turn the drier to bring empty clothes hanging spaces to where he stood, he seemed surprised at this new concept. Did we fail him, or did Lincoln University?

My mother in law accidentally put a wash cycle on without realising the family pet dog was asleep on the pile in the washing machine! Sadly the little fella met his maker (but at least he was clean when he got to the pearly gates!)
