Sunday piano meditation - no. 15 (Patreon)

Back home in Vienna, playing my old out of tune piano again, as you can easily tell.

Actually I have some news regarding that: I will give it back to the lady whom I bought it from a couple of years ago. We made a deal back then, that when the time has come for me to move on to a different city or a different piano, she would take it back. It was quite an emotional day for her, she immediately started to cry when I came to view and play the piano. Because of that she decided that she would 1. only sell it to me and no one else or keep it in case I didn't want to take it, and 2. only give it to me if we'd make the deal with giving it back to her eventually, as she was and is emotionally so attached to it. It was her family piano in her mums house, who just had died unexpectedly, which was the reason why she sold her belongings including the piano... Well, and now it is time, it can't be tuned anymore, at least not to 440 Hertz, which is necessary for me, so I took that (kinda long overdue) step this week and contacted her. Let's see which other piano will move in here with me after the old lady has gone back home. :)

So, maybe this is actually the last improvisation on it, maybe the 2nd or 3rd last - it's in Eb major. I quite like the theme of it, sounds dreamy yet also clear. Like looking with a firm eye on the future.
