I picked up Scott Hortons "Fools Errand. Time to end the war in Afghanistan" in audio form. The first few chapters were too political with his lame arguments for why the US was attacked on 911. He says it's because of the bombing of Muslim lands. When really, Serbia ate more US bombs than any Muslim land. So I returned the book.

Trump scared the South Koreans and the US military into acting. Both the South Koreans and US military stationed in Korea realized that they had a problem.

The Syrian Army’s DID try to protect Afrin, with the NDF (a govt aligned militia). They briefly fought together and there was an amazing march of about a hundred Kurdish and SDF soldiers waving YPG and Syrian flags at the same time (!!!), but ultimately a deal to allow govt forces in collapsed. If anything I blame the USA above all.
