Well folks, you all saw what happened. Punxsutawney Phil did NOT see his shadow. And I pretty much put all my faith, hopes, and dreams, into that singular groundhog. So we're pretty much already in Spring right now, all things considered. And that also means it's time to do our quarterly Question & Answer! That's right, the first one of 2024!

If you have a burning question you want answered on video, then submit it below under the comments section of this post. OR, you can submit them to MysticRyan@Gmail.com. Assuming we have another big turnout, then as a courtesy to others I'd appreciate if you'd keep your question as brief as you can make it. It'll be easier to read and work through them all, and everyone gets a fair shake at having a good answer without me rushing.

I'll film the answers in about two(ish) weeks and we'll get it uploaded near the later half of the month! Thank you all SO much for supporting here as always. We'll have an extended scenes video going up soon. And hopefully more deleted scenes stuff once I launch this new series I'm working on. Stay tuned!

Do you think with Microsoft’s exclusivity on their games changing, we will see an inflation of values for PS games? As far as collecting?

Jasser

Hi Ryan! I’m Jasser from saudi arabia and my question is : What do u think about “Persona games ? and what is your favorite game from this series ? Been watching a long time and thanks for all the great content as always! YOU take it easy.

Linh Lã

if Sony ever releases a new handheld, do you think it will be a big one like the Steam deck or a pocketable like the Vita?

Feeling Indigo

Hi Ryan, Whenever I see your gamplay footage of your 30 Days, 30 Platinums challenge, I'm always so impressed of how calm you are with the frustrating Trophies. It makes wonder if you were into the Splinter Cell games back in the PS2 days? Those games in my opinion, were the true stealth games that took time and a lot of patience.

Farhan Khan

Greetings! Hope as always you’re doing good. Im curious. As Kenichiro Yoshida has stated, that the foreseeable future of Playstation will be on multiple platforms. Will we see a push of Playstation Plus on Mobile and Portal this year? Im thinking abt that because native games on mobile have mostly proven to be cheap cash-grabs and my concern is that playstation mobile games could be no exception. What do you think? Best regards

I was watching a couple of PS3 documentaries. I have two questions for you. First in your personal opinion if Sony didn't remove otherOS for "security reasons" on April 1st 2010. A certain hack wouldn't have happened? Second I know that you said that it would be a while before a 30 platinums in 30 days part IV but is there something in the works for another documentary? I've been watching your past ones to help with viewer analytics.

MidKnight

Hey Ryan, What are some of your favorite lesser known PS3 games? Or just from PS3 in general. ( other than Hannah Montana or Barbie ofc) recently got my old one out and have been going back to play some

Jasser

I forgot about this!😂 , He is a man of culture

Tyler Unger

Some tech channels to have a second channel that's more casual or a podcast (ie, Spawn Wave and Scott the Woz). Have you ever considered creating another channel or creating/joining a podcast?

Lukas Velička

Hello Ryan, What do you think about a remaster/remake of Bloodborne? Why Sony hasn't done it yet? Maybe they want to put it on a PS6 as a launch title like Demon's Souls? I would like to hear your opinion on this. Big love to you from Lithuania!

Sam Brown

Hi Ryan, hope all is well! Thanks as ever for the great content! As a fellow trophy/achievement hunter, I was wondering what is the trophy you have had most fun obtaining, and conversely which one was least fun? Do you remember Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter and its ridiculous achievements, play the multiplayer for 8 hours straight!!

Sweets! by Jannelle

Hello I was wondering if you would be at the so cal retro gaming expo? Keep up the good work.

thatBoi Mikey

Yo Ryan, Have you played any of the recent PC ports of PlayStation exclusives? Please keep making the killer content!

Steven Dominguez (Bigboyjones2029)

Hello again Ryan! Hope all is well! I was curious if you had a favorite video game soundtrack. If so to what game and why? Absolutely love your content! You make the most amazing straight to the point up to date news on video games. Keep up the great work and as always you take it easy. ( I know you’ll read this and say no you take it easy but I’ll watch the video and repeat back no you take it easy.)

One of the talking points I'm hearing is that the current console generation sucks because there aren't enough first party games. And while there are certainly larger gaps in first party releases, I can't help but look at the lineup of PlayStation exclusives through April including The Last of Us Part II Remastered, Helldivers, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Rise of the Ronin and Stellar Blade and struggle to recall a hotter four month period for a console lineup maybe ever? What gives? What more do you think people want?

Jeremy Joyner

Hello Ryan, I hope you are doing well. My question for you is what are some of the challenges that you have faced as a content creator, and how have you overcome them? Take care and you take it easy.

DylanC.

Hey man! I'm curious to know what you do for a living. If you don't care to share that, I definitely understand. Just been wondering what it is you do as a day job. I'm starting to get suspicious that you're secretly Bruce Wayne and you fight crime at night. Thanks! Your friend, Dylan

Derek Bergen

Hey Ryan, hope you're enjoying that flavour of Coke that isn't available here in Canada. My question is a bit personal - what is one skill you possess that most of us would be unaware of? Thanks and stay classy 😎

DangerZone

Ryan! I’m hungry and debating what nostalgic gamer food I want to eat for my all nighter playing Persona 3 reload. My question is what were some of your favorite food/drinks growing up to have on a late night gaming binge? Personally I have huge nostalgia for the Halo Mountain Dew collaborations and of course some classic pizza rolls.

Vassili Kromm

I actually have the same question! Looking at how Ryan’s quality of content has only risen in the past years I’m wondering if he’s a full-time content creator now. But in that case I’d love to know what he used to do for living before he became a YouTuber 😄

Karawettu

Hi Ryan, Hope all is well. Do you remember the show The Tester on the PS3? Did you used to watch it? I believe there were only 2 seasons. I loved it. What are your thoughts if Sony did something like that again? Yeah or nah? Thanks as always for the great content. Cheers!

Vassili Kromm

Oh man I loved that show! It also coincided with an difficult time of my life and watching it helped! Didn’t know they had a season 2, will need to check it out!

My uncle moved to northeast Pennsylvania but when I visit him soon, I told him I want to explore northwest New York! He lives right on the border of state lines. Is there a time of year that makes New York really special for whatever reason that makes it enjoyable for you that also coincides with something gaming related? Maybe a game convention, some museum I've never heard of, etc? I want to come to your neck of the woods to check out that big waterfall I've heard so much about in my life as well. Can't wait for your response because I will add your recommendation to the itinerary.

Jip van der Kramer

Hi Ryan! Youtube says you have 1.676 videos online, the oldest dates from 2013, which means about 2.8 videos per week in the last 11 years) so here is my question: "Any vacation plans? :-) )

Victor Perez

Hey Ryan! Can you add me on PSN? I would like to be friends :) I tried sending you a friend request recently on PSN but it says you are not accepting any friend requests at this time.

Louis

Hey Ryan! Hope you're doing well! I've been playing A LOT of Helldivers 2, (142 hours in) and I'm HOOKED! This is the 1st multiplayer game I've invested in and I haven't touched any other game since then. (unless server issues occur) What's the last multiplayer game (or games) have you played where you were just HOOKED into the gameplay loop? I know you prefer single player nowadays due to limited time, but i'm curious. As always, keep up the good work!

greb1989

Hey Ryan! Hope you're doing well! Im a JRPG-player, it's pretty much the only genre i play these days (they tend to be on the longer side...). I tend to keep up to date with the news coming out of Japan quite well since i also host a Swedish JRPG-podcast...But! When the sales figures recently came out for FF7 Rebirths first week in Japan i was honestly quite surprised. The numbers where even lower than FF16. Why do you think this is? Are Square Enix struggling at home in Japan? Is it because of the fact that many japanese ppl tend to like handheld gaming? Keep up the amazing work!

Hi Ryan, my question is about the status of PlayStation VR2. What are your thoughts on how Sony is handling this ecosystem and the amount of dev support being put into it? Personally I picked VR2 up over the holiday season (my first VR) and am so impressed by it, the way the games are interactive add a fantastic element to gaming. The current games are great. But is the cost of entry and the lack of a stream of AAA games hurting it? I hope Sony announce more than they have done but seemingly unlikely. How do you see Sony dealing with VR2 on PS5 for the next few years?

Jimiboss

Hi Ryan! Hope you and Melissa are doing well. Question 1: Can we expect the "Still Online" series to make a return? Question 2: The rumours about a Sony dedicated handheld. What do you think it will be? Something that plays existing games only(PS4 & select PS5) or will it have it's own unique games. It will probably do at least all PS4 but do you think if a dev wanted they could make a portable only version of their game? Also what physical media, if any will it have? Cartridge or something new?

Yung ragoo

Yo! Hope you’re doing well! Love the content and I have just 2 very short questions for you this time. Question 1: How does it feel to be at almost 800k subscribers? It seems like just yesterday you were at just 200k. Question 2: what do you feel has made “LTPS” so successful for so many years while most other gaming news channels have almost completely disappeared?

Andrew Pack

Hey there Ryan! For physical game box art logos, what color scheme do you think PlayStation 6 will go with? Or rather what color scheme would you like to see? ( PS3 Black/White, PS4 Blue/White etc.)

Nicholas Bohm

Hey Ryan, Hope all is well and thank you for all the great content Have you heard of the PSP accessory that wasn't playstation branded that let you turn your PSP into a TV while you were on the go? It was the Sony Viao LF-V30 Location Free Base Station. I was also curious on your opinion with the portal doing so well and the VP of Ubisoft saying "One of the things we saw is that gamers are used to, a little bit like DVD, having and owning their games. That's the consumer shift that needs to happen. They got comfortable not owning their CD collection or DVD collection." What do you think if Video games started offering a digital code with each physical purchase like blu-rays and dvds do. To help facilitate the building of digital libraries and to help gamers get use to the idea of not owning physical media like the movie and video industry did

Beth Graham

Hell Ryan, love your content including the recent reviews on the Pulse Elite and Explorer. Have you thought about doing more reviews on hardware and maybe even some of Sony's biggest game releases of the year?

Jasser

Hi Ryan! ( again ) What do u think about “knack” games ?

Vassili Kromm

Hi Ryan, I have just recently finished Death Stranding for the first time and upon completing the story I had this feeling of emptiness like you get after a long good book. Needed couple of days before I could start playing something else. My question is: what was the last game (if any) you played that left a similar feeling on you?

Marvin Gutierrez

No question this time around. Just wanted to tell you I lost my shit on your last 30 platinums video when you shouted out ‘dude humpty’s packin’ 😂. My girl was pissed I woke her up.

Marvin Gutierrez

Same here! When I joined Patreon, it was when your account was hacked and you didn’t have access to it.

Patryk Hanik

Hey Ryan! Thank you for putting me on to the Katamari franchise. It’s so uniquely awesome. What is your favorite game from the series?

Reddestofcapes

Love your videos, Ryan! My question is: With the PS5 being the currently supported main console and the PS3 still having a lot of bespoke features that the PS5 can't do, I feel the PS4 sits in an awkward middle spot between the two. In your opinion, what's the best use case for PS4 in 2024 both on the hard-core/enthusiast gaming side and the more casual side? Thank you!

Paul Romano

Hey Ryan you ever play any burnout games besides burnout 3 because I remember you playing that game for one video where you played a bunch of ps2 games

Brandon

Do you think we'll ever get another first party PSVR 2 title? The news about the PSVR 2 production being halted to let units out in the wild get sold first has me thinking that Sony is pulling a Vita on this awesome piece of hardware

MysticRyan

Hey Paul! I'm sorry but your question just missed the window on filming. But I'll happily answer this here: Yes! I've played a few of the Burnout games. Paradise is probably my favorite since I really enjoyed the music, world, and overall vibes of that entry.

Paul Romano

No problem dude I’m just about to watch the video right now. And couldn’t agree more paradise is my favorite

MysticRyan

Hey Bran Don, my apologies but this question just missed the window on filming the Q&A session. But I'll provide an answer here: I don't expect much from PlayStation Studio's on PS VR2. For an internal first party team, I think the best case scenario there would be Team Asobi or Firesprite shipping a 2D/VR game. Everyone else would be (rightfully) busy doing major releases for PS5. Maybe we'll see a second-party deal that's considered PS Studio's, but VR is just a very tough marketplace for all headsets. There's still lots of great third party stuff and Sony is probably right in highlighting that content the best they can in this moment.

Brandon

Makes sense, I was thinking the same thing, just tired of Sony releasing cool hardware and then not supporting it. This feels like the Vita all over again. Thank you for the response!
