I really wish I took more photos for behind the scene stuff but here's a few I took just to post on Patreon. My perspective on making this project happen. Don't have any power cutters or anything like that so used heated blades to cut through the plastic. Took longer and had a messier cut BUT it got the job done.

The big thing I really wanted to make happen but ultimately couldn't was using the LED indicator on the PS4 Pro. It's not as easy as just tapping wires into a power source like its some sort of automotive accessory. The PS4 Pro light has its own separate, tiny motherboard and two to three ribbon cables jetting out of the interior that is supposed to connect to the main hardware. Essentially, these lights were controlled by software largely and so just giving it power wasn't working for me. And in all honesty I don't know what it would've taken to get it to work right but sometimes with things like these you have to ask yourself if the time and effort is worth it. And given I have no idea how well this video will do, I had to give up on that.

You can also see how I cut up the trivets to line the interior of the console to build some heat resistance around all the plastic and after filming the video I'm happy to report pretty much the entire console suffered no melting. The only weak area was the top portion of the console, near the back where the hingers are. When the lid was up, the very edge of that was a bit too close and melted a bit. Other than that, PS4 Pro grill can be used again!
