One Piece has the power to make you laugh and cry in the span of a minute lol. What you felt at the end there with the cast-off ceremony is such an unusual emotion to me. Like its not sad, its just so beautiful and powerful that it makes you emotional. What's amazing is that heart is present in the story even 1000 episodes later, and it only gets stronger the more attached you get and the more you learn about the characters and the world If you guys check out the anime I am super onboard. If you want to wait for the Live Action S2 assuming we get one, you could watch the anime up to where this episode ended and see how you feel. Either way I loved your reactions. Thanks for the fun 🔥

I'm so glad you liked the show! I loved seeing you experience One Piece for the first time. The show really captured the heart of One Piece, with the characters, their dreams and relationships. Seeing new people get hooked to the same things that made me fall in love with the series is really amazing. If you do seriously think about giving the anime a try, don't think of it as 1000+ episodes. One Piece is told in arcs, i. e. each section is it's own storyline with a clear end. Like Jaby mentioned in the discussion: there's stuff that connects the arcs so there are always some more mysteries left to keep you hooked, but each arc has an emotionally and narratively satisfying ending. In that sense, you've seen up to the Arlong Park arc, which is episode 44 of the anime (though I'd recommend rewatching them in the anime to get a feel for the differences in the characters between the original and the LA). The next arc is from 45-53 (or 45 + 48-53 when skipping filler). That's a far more manageable amount of episodes than 1000+ ;)
