The Medley Song from Mujhse Dosti Karoge starring Rani Mukherjee, Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor

Aria Isara

Not sure if you're still checking out the replies on this post lol but here are some old iconic Hindi ones, so that you can get familiarized with classic actors + these songs are still so enjoyable today: KHILADI HAI KOI from Seeta Aur Geeta, a 1972 comedy drama that is among my fav and most rewatched movies. The lead stars Dharmendra and Hema Malini got married after the movie. They're an iconic couple. He was nicknamed the He Man of Bollywood and she was nicknamed Dream Girl (Deepika's character being nicknamed Dreamy Girl in Om Shanti Om is a reference to her). From Dharmendra's previous marriage he's the dad of Bobby & Sunny Deol. THARE RAHIYO from the iconic classic Pakeezah (1972). It follows the story of a courtesan. The movie has beautiful visuals. This song shows a traditional type of dancing named Mujra (often associated with courtesans). The lead actress is the beloved star Meena Kumari who sadly passed away from alcoholism at age 39. PYAR KIYA TO DARNA KYA from another iconic classic, Mughal E Azam, an epic period romance between a courtesan and a prince (1960). Magnificent visuals, the set will blow your mind. The song Deewani Mastani in Bajirao Mastani when Deepika dances in front of Ranveer is inspired by this song. The older actor playing the King is the Kapoor patriarch (Prithviraj Kapoor), father of Raj the superstar of the 50s-60s-70s and grandfather of Rishi. The lead actress is the biggest female star of the late 50s-60s, Madhubala, who sadly died of a heart problem at 36. The prince is played by Dilip Kumar, one of the most renowned actors of the time. EK CHATUR NAAR from the famous comedy Padosan (1968). The song is a singing battle between neighbours, a girl and her singing teacher VS the guy next door trying to impress her with his voice but in reality he's lip syncing and his friend hidden in the room is really the one singing. It's both catchy and hilarious. The guy next door is played by Sunil Dutt, Sanjay's dad. His hidden friend is played by iconic singer actor Kishore Kumar (who's really singing here). He was married to Madhubala. The female neighbour is played by Saira Banu, Dilip Kumar's wife.
