HERA PHERI Watchalong Reaction! (Patreon)

Hello Patrons! Here's our watchalong to Hera Pheri. If this is your first time doing this with us, you will need to have your own copy of the movie in order to press play when we tell you so you can sync up with us. We got our copy from Einthusan because Amazon was not allowing us to play the movie in the US. Full disclosure, the subtitles were not the best so please be patient HOWEVER we did have a really fun time with the movie once we got over that hiccup and we hope you guys enjoy hanging out with us as well :)

In my opinion, this was one of those rare instances where the remake was as good and dare I say sometimes even better than the original. The Malayalam original was called "Ramji Rao speaking" and it came out in 1989. The hindi one was a scene by scene copy but still managed to stand on its own.

I think when it comes to remakes alot of what pyriadarshan and akshay kumar had in the early to mid 2000s were the best and better than the originals.

I love film. I am director fan. Not actor fan. I love priyadarshan films. One of the best film director in India. I get happy when he makes remakes and original films. Their is nothing wrong with that. It is his film and adjust to the culture of the film. That is what is fascinating about this film and director. Seriously, I really want you guys to enjoy this film because of priyadashan. I would of recommened a best site for hindi old film subtitle. But you guys went with hindi on enthisuan.com. Very bad choice. Their is nothing wrong asking for suggestion from patreon who use einthsuan.com. I know my advise is bad for your channel these days or what ever. Do guys see it tamil first. It is good site for tamil film with subtitle and other south indian films. just ask me good to get some good old high quality hindi with great subtitle. I will get you the site. Anyway best of luck. You guys did not learn the lesson from go goa gone. I think anniyan split personailty scene is taken from the einthusan.com. That why you guys enjoyed so much and got the highest view on the channel. Anyway best of luck.

I have never watched Hera Pheri. In this case, I am what Jaby calls "the fierce OG protectors". It's just that I grew up watching Ramji Rao speaking as a baby and it has that rare nostalgia associated. It is one of the early movies that introduced me to cinema. And the first proof that I became an ARR fan ( he played the keyboard for the original title music which I used to hum as a kid 😂👀). When you have that kind of connection with the original movie, it is hard to appreciate a remake almost a decade later. God I could recite Ramji Rao and Mannar Mathai dialogues any day. 😂

@Rejitha It was the same for me. Grew up watching Ramji Rao speaking a hundred times. So when I heard about the remake...I assumed it would just ruin the original. But I heard such good things from friends that I decided to watch it. And boy... it was so much fun! Paresh Rawal was the highlight. Never could imagine that someone else can play the role that Innocent played. But Paresh Rawal made it his own. And somehow the shift in geography also worked. Like 3 unemployed guys in Mumbai caught up in a kidnapping just made sense. So...you should definitely check this out. Not sure if it has aged well though.

Had a big time problem with the sync. It was like you were playing at a slower speed all the time. I had to pause and wait for you to catch up. It was just not fun guys. Please check the run time of the copy you're watching or use a VPN or something to avoid this in the future. Sorry for this comment. But the experience was just not pleasant.

lol the subtitle must done by people who does not know hindi. Still this is deep rooted hindi culture film.
