I have a question ✋ this is a debate I keep having with my sister, do you guys think Tara actually confessed to Adil at the end of thw show how she cheated? Or was it just she crying and the flashback appeared like all other episodes to show us how she actually cheated and leaked her own video?

The filmmakers don’t actually show her confessing exactly what she did to Adil so it’s kind of open ended. However, I think she would have told him the whole story (which we can imply from the line “I cheated”) which then leads her following action of leaving him to make sense. It’s all up to interpretation I suppose 🤷🏻‍♀️

I dont think she told him the story about how she manipulated him. Saying that she cheated and implying that its with a man was easier to say than the most shameful thing that she has actually done. Also she didnt steal the jewelry. How I saw it was that it was all the jewelry her husband showered her with during their marriage. Some of it might have been during the time that he was cheating on her so she thought she deserved it.

A recurring theme you guys missed your discussions is how outdated traditions, beliefs and societal expectations can force people to do things. Living in poverty Tara must have always heard all around her to marry rich and she did everything she could to do it. The older man who's apartment karan lives at marries and spends his life with a woman because society would have have accepted him. This is the same reason Nawab marries. The harmful ideals of society like dowry, focus on marriage, superstitions, marrying for money and outdated views of sexuality have destroyed lives.

I think you are supposed to feel bad for Jim Sarbh’s character by the end. Because he was just a guy who fell in love (with Kalki’s character). Tara actually goes from being the underdog character that we root for to someone who has manipulated everything that happened in her life. But when we step back and look at the whole picture...we realise that they are all humans who have made mistakes and hurt people for their selfish reasons. I think you are supposed be conflicted about what you feel about them. P.S. I never felt they were mocking rich people at the dinner table . It’s just the way it is.
