It happened because the distrust in the authorities. The Doctors were attacked in densely populated areas in all the incidents, where the mob thought they were "protecting" their people from these outsiders and stopping them from taking their people away. Ya... we indians are bipolar. We throw flowers and stones. As a doctor, I had experienced a poor old man trying to thank me by falling at my feet to a young student holding my shirt in anger. I dnt need both. Just stop violence against doctors and that is enough.

The attacks on health workers were all staged by anti-nationalists, who were paid to do so. They want the virus to spread across the country. This is another kind of terrorism that India has to face. Every body knows who would sponsor such violence. These are proxy wars being waged against India. India has multiple threats from Pakistan and China. India while battling to protect the country from virus has also to battle against these terrorists at the same time. And I would say India is very well doing good despite these threats.

Some News media are scared to directly name those idiots who attacked medical staff because of their political bias or PC culture .... But let me inform you ... those cases were of some MUSLIMS hiding in crowds in buildings or mosques ... and they believe because of their religion they won't be infected ... and/or are brainwashed into thinking that those police/medical staff coming to them to discipline/check them are their enemies and hence they are coerced into attacking with stones & other things. Some of them are also spitting on other people.

The majority were Muslims. They were brain washed by saying that the doctors will take them away and then infect them with the corona virus.

There is stigma surrounding people who are in the medical profession and the patients who are cured or newly arrived in a neighborhood after travelling somewhere. It mainly comes from misinformation. Apart from stone pelting there were instances where doctors who return to their quarters after duty are attacked and sometimes even verbal attacks happen. Nurses were asked to vacate their houses because the neighborhood feared that they might infect others. However, the government has now enforced laws to protect all kinds of medical professionals. Yet, this should NOT happen virus or not. Medical professionals are working on rotation here as far as I've heard. They go on duty and then go on quarantine and the next batch enters and repeat. Many are not able to visit their families. So, even if we don't throw flowers at them, lets not isolate our medical professionals who need all our support to fight this war.

There are a few of reasons: 1. Lockdown has been painful, and people are frustrated. So any government face angers them. Apparently doctors are one of them, and bear the brunt. 2. People are scared that they might be taken away and kept in some quarantine, if they're suspected of being infected. So they want to chase away medical teams. 3. Muslims have distrust on the government, and they feel it will use this opportunity to single them out and do something not good to them. 4. People feel doctors are the most exposed and want to keep as far from them as possible. Some doctors faced the heat from neighbors, just for residing next to them.

They were attacked by the peaceful community. Currently there is a hidden motive going on among the community to spread as much virus as they can so that the ratio between hindus and peaceful community is decreased
