Oh you got the context wrong. Like totally opposite. He dressed up as a macho guy to woo her. But in fact he is her husband ( in the nerd look. ) That's why he's imagining himself with her in the song. That's why she doesn't react or look at him when he's in the nerd look.

My understanding of dating and finding love is this: when you start dating someone or meet someone new, you obviously present the best version of yourself. So it’s kind of like a made up personality. Once you start spending more time with someone, the facade comes off and the person gets to know the real unfiltered version of you and vice verse. Now if you still like each other at this point then congratulations you can have a long term relationship with this person! I have been married for 10 years now and never did I think I’d find someone who would love the real crazy me, but luckily I did and so will all of you!!

Kajol isn't in this song! She appears in a different one in the movie where they show the age of bollywood through the years and have a bunch of different guest actresses come in!

you guys said you almost didn't recognise srk in that nerdy getup... lol but people criticise/make fun of the movie for the exact opposite reason as to why she didn't recognise her husband without the moustache. I don't get it because both the characters look very different , body language, personality....there's no way she could have guessed it’s the same person. The movie is beautiful though ...a must watch.

This is a very old school concept of romance in India. Something that I really appreciate and prefer. This idea that the man woos the woman with pure love. It is a very boomer thing to say, but this is what people grew up with in India in the 90s. Much of the love shown is pure to a fault. It is of course an ideal situation. But some part of me still believes in this. I still want to meet a girl that I fall hopelessly in love with and can woo like this. It is borderline delusional but it is something that people still want(At least from what I have seen). Anyways I really appreciate the video.
